The only reason people keep pushing up against LLK is because his shell deosn't fit this norm; they don't really seem to do much at all in terms of competitive endgame.

I never said that camping kings makes or breaks a shell's rep or quality, but to be fair, this is an endgame FFXI forum where most drama is fueled by Ridills, Ebodies and what have you. That's why when LLK starts talking shit about shells like my own I'm going to speak up. His shell is anything but active in those parts; with what, one ToAU king kill that was a 5% Cerb... maybe if you were tearing sea up for whatever reason and rocking novios and love torques, but you're not. LLK you keep singing the same old song, and it's not making much sense anymore.

I'll sum up your points against my LS for you:

1. We use a lot of BLM.
i like killing things in 5 minutes as opposed to 30

2. We MPK.
one or two people do. i didn't bio you stop crying

not that i don't get that its a bit silly for llk to be ragging on a ls better than his, but it hardly justifies the consequences. tk throws blms at most things too llk. we've always been mage heavy and its what we have and what we work with. res may do it with more people, but player for player i'd still wager them to be more skilled than 1k. I'll just say this: LS leaders can be just like everyone else, imperfect. I can at least say that mine isn't a flaming, ridiculous ball of crap who would serve everyone best by checking off the planet as quickly as possible, however. Overall in my year and a half in Unsent I'd say that Firiel gives her best effort consistently and actually adheres to something of a code of standards. We've never botted, stolen an HNM or mpk'd in that year and a half, and we don't lolcrowd others while they fight either.

Oh, and I'll say this about Res: I have known and know a few people that I consider good, respectful players in that shell. There are also massive douchebags who will mpk, diaga, and steal. Associating with the douches just for potential gear progression makes the good people douches by association. That's just how it is.

I won't knock Res's success on certain mobs, because you can kill them, sure. Shouldn't how you do something be just as important as what you've done though? Maybe try showing a little more class and there'll be less people out there saying how shameless and ill-mannered you are.

Don't get me wrong, I really do have nothing against Unsent. It used to be a strong, respectable shell, but when members dispersed (mostly into LimitBreak) the balance of power rested solely on Firiel, who I firmly believe made some bad decisions.

More or less I'm talking about Firiel's decisions about drops. Let's say you were at the KB that Unsent killed and dropped wyrmal head. Now imagine that you don't have a dynamis shell and you've been waiting for this item for a long time. Firiel, toting AF2 hat and Dalmatica already, decides that she'll take it because the "Regen is good for soloing." Or giving Abody to her friends/fuck-buddies before legit and useful players.

I know very little of the shell as it stands today, basically only a recent KB wipe and a bunch of assumedly-migrated new members. I don't want to have internet warz with you either, I'm only pointing out that Demetrius' assessment of Odin HNM shells as groups with crazy leaders doesn't leave anything left unsaid concerning Unsent. Firiel blacklisted me when I asked why she let her LS claim a Fafnir when a random was about to take place so I haven't talked to her in a very long time; this is just my assessment from what I know

Drops are simply point-based, using a traditional HNMLS structure. You show up on a regular basis, you can lot. I've never seen a drop go to someone who wasn't the highest-point qualifying person attending (in some cases modified by job-priority i.e. Ridill is WAR priority, Novio BLM, etc.). It is a good system that rewards participation.

We've had 2 KB claims recently, and both were taken while we were still fighting. 1 or 2 death =/= wipe. I don't know the exact circumstances of how they went yellow as I wasn't there, but I believe my shell members that they say they weren't all dead or running away (the traditional criteria for another shell to step in and take).

We do have new members, only a few of them are migrated though.
