I remember when we used to laugh and clap at thier hour long fafnirs back in the day when they started out. Now they are more annoying cos they are competant but still take a while to kill stuff, keeping everyhing in more or less the same time frame D:

eh It was only a matter of time before they learned how to do it. Excal just got worse at it when I saw them doing it but FMTTML actually can at least get mobs downed under their own steam.

There was a EU/UK HNMls called finalfantasyknights or something that claimed a fafnir once, that was maybe 05/06. That was pretty funny, none of them had any idea where to stand / any experience in fighting it. I think they called for help that as well about 5 mins to rage when they wiped. Dont recall who got it in the end, but the fight was one of those looooong drawn out ones where most shells escaped as it did indeed rage.

I didn't see that but I'm sure the massive amount of entertainment made by such a fight would have been worth it.

I don't see why every LS on Fairy doesn't ditch SA+WS damage and skillchains on Wyrms and just take 2 hours using tier III nukes and SMN BPs. If that desensitized pussyfied approach to killing HNMs isn't fun, well, then I don't know what is.

I gotta agree with that. It was cool for the 1st few times seeing it in action but the last time this happened with Cerb, I just grabbed a book and glanced up every 10 minutes to see what progress the mob was at.

Take that back. The JP LS FlyMeToTheMoonLight is actually good at doing Kings so I kind of disagree with Akanei on that. As far as whoever this person is I got a chuckle out of it but anyone with any real sense knows he was blowing a load of serious smoke.

They're, like, the slowest out of any of the HNMLSes that actually can kill kings, regularly. You can't deny that. <_<

True Dude I can't argue that but at least they can kill it. I still raise an eyebrow watching some shells struggle trying to kill it or even get to a point of CFHing it.

During one of the last few turtles I was at, This no name shell whose name I forget claimed Turtle on Day 5 I think and actually was forced to CFH it because they couldn't tank/handle/kill it.

We got claim after it went yellow and took it down.

As the only person who has posted in this thread seriously about Absolute Virtue on Fairy...

It has only ever been killed TWICE, by my shell, Eden. Yes, the first time we killed it (August 5th I think) was also the first night we popped our first JoL (Full drops ^.^), and it was a clusterfuck of fun and win. Yes, we got a a bunch of people in and around it, and I remember there being something retarded like 200 in the zone at the time we pulled it to the Palace Enterance (and used the Goblin Footprint trick to lock it before we thought up a strat). We used 2 Rotating Blm partys, with 4 Kraken Drks (2 of which were borrowed from people outside of our shell I believe), and used a rotation of Wild Card to reset 2hrs to bring the kill time of Absolute Virtue in around 90 minutes total. When the Krakens went wild, the Blms did also, all 10 zoned (or died), reset 2hr, and went again etcetc.

Out of our 8 JoL pops and Novio drops, AV has spawned twice for us, and both times we have killed it. Second was some time in October, when the ass dropped 2 Rings (Bellona's and Mars', first being Mars', Rod and Aureole iirc (Bellona's and Aureole now being obsolete because peeps who got these stopped playing :<, man that Aureole was Dramahhh~))

So anyway, AV kills, Titles, Salvage drops ... Yeah, we're not that bad. We just suck at claiming Kings (not that I enjoy wasting 3hrs camping the fuckers) ...

The mindset that allows those thoughts to exist is amazing. If your job depends on other people for healing, you're probably not allowed to show up on it.

Fairy has Fafnirs that take 30+ mins, Niddys that nearly take up the entire hour and KBs that meteor the crap out of every LS.

That's actually not so bad compared to Phoenix. If anyone other than us or Saviour claims faf, you'll be sitting for 40min+ waiting. Especially if it's Fury. If anyone other than us or Saviour claims Aspid, it's going to be at least 40 minutes. Especially if it's Fury. If anyone other than us or Oceans claims KB (never watched Saviour kill it), there's going to be enough meteors to make the dinosaurs extinct. Especially if it's Fury. If anyone other than Saviour kills Tiamat it wont be fast. My LS doesn't take long to kill Tiamat either, but we don't usually kill it as fast as Saviour. It will be especially long if it's Fury who claims. If anyone on the server other than us claims Cerberus, it's going to take a while. Especially if it's Fury. Basically, you have to hope Zaibatsu (us) or Saviour claims or else you're going to be waiting for a while... especially if it's Fury.

haahahha so true Q_Q. I don't generally pick at people anymore, only people that have wronged me in the past, (HI2U FINALE and old 13). Actually I talk to mostly all of you in your respectful linkshells a lot. Don't really have beef with any of you and I like mostly all of you haha.
