This at all worth getting? Trying to decide if I should grab it on my way home or not...
after playing it some more now, and checking out the online, I would say yes.
The big thing that I like is the ability to search for a random battle online, without a friend code. Then after the match it allows you to automatically rematch, and exchange codes if you would like to.
As long as you have D/P i would say that it's worth picking up.

Not bad game other than everyone using legendaries in their teams and practically nothing else![]()
Got the game, won two coliseums, shut it off, and realized it doesn't autosave like most pokemon games
FC is 5154 9965 7427
it's fun, but online battles suck when you cant backout when you see the noob's team consist of 5 legends and a star raptor.
I'll wait till you can restrict noob legends
You can see the oponents team before you battle?
no.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
It shows the player, who accepted your challenge/auto search, then it shows your 6 man team, and you choose your team, then you notice Regigigas, palkia, dialga, Mewtwo, girtanita (The Ghost/DRG), and Staraptor staring you down
The thing is, every time I go up against a team like that, it's a bunch of gimpy non-EV trained ones with bad movesets, and my Dragonite sweeps them![]()
I get most of them, but mewtwos are tougher, garchomp cleans out the other chumps NPOriginally Posted by MisterBob
Actually, you do. Both sides can see what pokemon the other side does but you can only use 3 out of your 6 pokemon to battle with. So basically you have to guess what they'll pick or go for raw power to overpower their pokemon.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
The game is good for a quick battle. Other than that, I see the hype dying out by the end of the summer and you almost never touching the game again for online play because there'll be no one online to play with.
Luckily I traded 3 games in and didn't have to pay for the game![]()
Trading in 3 games actually probably cost you a lot, considering you could have ebayed them for much more most likely![]()
Probably but material worth was nothing since I hadn't played those games in a while / thought Mario Party 8 sucked.Originally Posted by MisterBob
So far every random person faced on WiFi either had an all legendary team or team full of Shiny pkmn. More BG players need to get the game so I'm not stuck facing hacked pokemon.

some people dunno how to use their shit atleast.
Yeah n I fought Arceus and Darkrai, hacked ones, who, naturally, 1 shotted my team.
Arceus, Darkrai, and Shaymin are not allowed on Wifi for PBR, so you didn't fight them. Even if you obtained them using the JP version glitch, they still wont work.
That's a relief to know that people can't use bullshit pokes on the WiFi. Is there any confirmation though of if it really scans to check if pokemon are hacked when it uploads them from the DS like the old colosseums? That'd be awesome to know for sure, I hate fighting hacked pokes.
checks the level obtained, location obtained, what kind of pokeball you caught it with, and if it's stats/EV's are over its max.
thats all that i'm aware of.
but seriously, they need a way around legends
It checks a few things about your saved game as well. For example, using the "Full Pokedex" AR code will get you banned. (Yes, they actually ban you. Sadly, all you have to do is delete your save and remake to get unbanned, but still)
Yeah, Ubers need some kind of prevention, but the game does support WiiConnect24, so maybe theyll add some new rules later. (The fact that theres a greyed out rules selection thing when you search for battles is a good sign that this will happen)
Some people are sooo stupid with their ubers though. I use an Umbreon wall, and some guy's Mewtwo kept using Dark Pulse on me...
