not based off of tv. just from people who go to events, or run into wrestlers outside of the arena's after the show all said he seemed to be a really nice and quiet guy, would always sign autographs and such and never seemed to be bitter or angry, which is why I think a lot of people are surprised by this.Originally Posted by Septimus

what the fuck people still watch fake wrestling?
you're about 4 pages late on that comment. Some people still do, I don't but I do remember him from when I did watch it about 10 years ago. I really liked until I found out he was a serial killer and took the cowards way out.Originally Posted by Beckwin
WWE has released a new statement as well as a detailed timeline of events on their website, including full text all of all the text messages he sent to co-workers, as well as the details behind the rumors of daniel and nancy coughing up blood:

Is this being confirmed by a reliable source?Originally Posted by divisortheory

is all you need to know
Uhh, WWE isn't a reliable source? Considering that the people he sent text messages to worked for the WWE and they had direct communication with him with him cancelling the event and being rescheduled for another event?
yea, I'd like to see this backed up by someone else. These people do stupid things.Originally Posted by divisortheory
I'm probably in the surprised camp too, and while it is strongly looking like a double homocide and suicide, I can't help but shake the potential presence of a fourth individual (Or more). So, find me a tinfoil hat, I'm going conspiracy theorist.
Far as I've read, there was actually no vocal communication from Benoit after he reportedly asked for the additional time with his sick family. Suggesting the wife was bound, this lends itself to the possibility of coercion in a hostage scenario with the son (no real physical threat to an adult at that age) also serving as another bargaining chip. Benoit doesn't meet some demand. Wife winds up dying. Move on to using the son.
Physically, the guy was in the business of getting beat up almost nightly (Even if fake, you can't "pretend" to jump 10 feet head first into a guy's chest). Him being surprised by one or overcome by a group could feasibly lead to a misconception of injuries sustained that weekend or even days prior at whatever event he'd worked at. Until toxicology comes in, we won't know if it truly was a case of roid rage or even him being sedated to the point where he couldn't fight back or even struggle out of the successful hanging made to resemble suicide.
Depending on how long he was dead and when the police found them, any signs of a struggle could have feasibly been cleaned up or erased. The peculiar cel phone messages could've been pleas for help, only to have the phones discovered by the potential captors. Though, the absence of "help" is certainly suspicious. Quite possibly a ploy to lend to the illusion of mental instability and to cover their tracks.
I only hope authorities are least exploring this angle. It would be a shame for someone to get away with this if Benoit truly was everything people claimed him to be in the tributes.

He killed himself and his family, get over it. >_>
It's not that hard to understand why people would. It's basically a soap opera with gimmick characters fighting each other... like your typical shonen anime. Back when I watched wrestling, I knew it was fake very early on and I still enjoyed it. I actually stopped becoming interested in it when I noticed the storyline following the very same patterns: the whole heel and face thing, characters picking up and dropping personas many times, and storyline being more than just a little repetitive and predictable(largely due to the previous two things combined).Originally Posted by Beckwin
The timeline clearly shows that he wasn't exactly right in the head...
AM New York has this running on their front page this morning with a huge picture of Benoit.
"Roid Rage blahblabhblbahblah" Is the headline. I saw it for a split second before I got to the office today. Anyone else happen to catch the entire headline or actually read the story?
I read it... Its basically just saying the same thing all of the other articles are saying... Nothing new... That anabolic steriods (legal prescription) were found in the house, that it will be weeks before the toxology reports will be back determining whether or not they played a factor in what happened, and that wwe.com is saying that there is no way they had anything to do with the murders. Nothing new...Originally Posted by Izzy
