Wizerd meant that if your only goal is powder keg... just go east and skip the 6 + hammerblow.

Thanks for the replies... gonna hopefully try it out within a day or two. ^^
Even if you go the other direction you have to clear the room before you can proceed. Seems quicker to go Hammerblow's way since there's only 6 there, instead of like 12 the other way.Originally Posted by Nikko
East side is completely open up, you don't have to kill anything.
(And if you wanted to, east also has pre-set drops, and don't all link)
I used to think that to, but then I went once and it was locked. Or at least, I think I didOriginally Posted by Julian

Nope, east is completely open from the start.
Definatly 100% sure east side links. Caused us many trouble in the past.
Well, they link if they're close together.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
What I meant by not linking is that they don't all automatically link you no matter what, like the west side does.
This is a moot discussion, anyway, since it is impossible for 3 people to kill the NM. You need at least 6 to even have a chance. It's just the way SE programmed it.
Are you sure you didn't get blood aggro or ability aggro? We've done this room soooo many times and we have never seen them link. I guess it's possible that we've just been incredibly lucky.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
People always say this, but we only ever have our thf pull with a ranged and we get links whenever they are close.Originally Posted by Bleu
Powderkeg? I highly doubt it's impossible to kill the NM with 3. He isn't a very hard mob, definitely loads easier than Archaic Chariots in any zone, and we downed that with MNK RDM BRD in Arrapago (the same trio can kill most NMs in the game that don't have anything special that they do, like spam TP or Voidsong (looking at you, Ash Dragon). Let me tell you, doing Salvage with just 3 people is so much more relaxing... Links are dealt with just fine as long as it's not more than 1 extra monster, if the players are skilled.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Edit: You guys need to be clear what floor you're talking about lol. It seems like Kuno is describing 1F and Bleu 2F.
Yeah I meant 1f. >.> Solly.
Well, by needing 6 to even have a chance, I mean that literally. You can't enter with 3 people, so you can't kill with only 3... unless they just have their other 3 people standing around watching.Originally Posted by Wizerd
Lrn2rd, he's talking about using the DC "sploit" popularized by the recent sub 6-mans in 'pogo.Originally Posted by Khamsin

Lrn2lrn2rd, he never mentioned anything about trying the d/c exploit. If he were going to use that exploit, or at least had stated as such, you might have had a point.Originally Posted by Flight_93
It's an up to date thread though. Personally, every time I hear of less than 6 people in Salvage now, I just assume the D/C trick is used.Originally Posted by Khamsin
They should just let us enter with any number![]()
Seriously. There is no reason for the 6 man requirement. It's just an annoyance when you want to go late at night and need to find a last member.Originally Posted by aurik
I guess I could understand however from a server standpoint. They dont want too many instance of salvage created at the same time..but still. I doubt people would do it a lot more
Agreed. I want to be able to go with 3-4 whenever. When you only need 1-2 lv35 NMs, it'd be a lot nicer. Less AP wasted.Originally Posted by Kaylia
