Buddy pass 30 day trial thing?

I've been trying to find the buddy pass thing on ffxi for a while for my friend, I haven't used it before and It's like hiding from me or something. I don't get why they make it so impossible to find on their website kind of retarded if you ask me.

No I'm pretty sure theres a Trial thing, wiki says its as long as you know someone who plays already and you can dl game online. I remember this being brought up a while ago on BG and someone getting the link.
