I was wondering if anyone else had had some errors trying to get the JP clients for Windows Vista to work on their computers.

Its already pretty well-known that when SE started hosting the installation files for a Vista-compatible version of the FFXI clients, it also gave us complete legal access to the JP and EU and NA clients. However I've read that there are problems if you try to have several versions all at once.

I have the Regedit pathways already setup and so forth for the US and JP clients and they were working fine for a while. However after the last emergency maint I ran into a few errors on the JP side.

-At first JP POL wouldn't even get past the "Play" button on its client. The screen would flicker and then it would go back and give me POL Error Code: 9001 (-1). I attempted changing the pathways in Regedit to the working ones of the NA client (I guess it updated again and overwrote the US ones but that's ok) and it looked like it was working fine...

-Until error #2 hit me. Now the screen loads as if FFXI were attempting to load but then it freezes... completely freezes and the only way to get out of the frozen black screen is to start the task manager and manually shut down the process.

If anyone else has encountered this error, please lend me some advice on how you fixed it... it so far has prevented me from logging on in the last few hours.

I also noticed when I click on the PlayOnline startup it goes through a small setup program yet when it reaches a few seconds into it it stops and gives me another error saying it can't find "PlayOnline Viewer Tetra Master.msi". Perhaps this is the key?
