JoL Add Strategy

Not sure if anyone knows this, after it starts summoning RuPhuabo's only, you can hold 2 of them (RDM/NIN or NIN/WAR or NIN/BRD), and it will only summon ONE phuabo instead of sets of 3.

By doing so, our BLM's tierIV nuke the single summon instead of wasting MP on costly GA3.

It is much safer as well imo, as well as more efficient hence able to low man JoL with just 2 parties.
Dmg are focused on JoL rather than have to worry about the stupid adds each time he summons.

Thought it's about damn time someone posted this trick.

Neat little trick. We manage to do JoL with 15-18 regularly but I suppose if we had to go down to 12 or so this would be a good key to help win.

We use NIN/BRD self-mamboing and RDM/NIN to hold GuguJaja's 4 pets as well.

I hope your ninjas are freaking perfect, because if they get hit and require a heal or any other kind of support they won't have any way to stop someone from ripping hate off them. Hell, if you're not attacking them, a cure 3 will pull hate. I'd rather have the leeway to get hit a few times than the minimal benefit of a self mambo.

Hence I said either RDM/NIN OR the other two choices. It's obvious the other 2 needs some kind of support to keep them alive no matter how perfect they are. Oh well, either way, it gets the job done. We've been doing this for months and have no problem whatsoever.

That's out of the point of this post anyway. I just wanted to share this holding 2 adds trick for those that don't know it yet.

So how exactly do you hold them though?

Just bind / grav / run around while JoL is being killed? Did I just answer that myself? Or can they be slept.

NIN -> Phuabo1 [ Have 2 NINs straight tank give them 1 RDM. ]
NIN -> Phuabo2 [no need to kite ]
spawn kill - > Phuabo3

repeatedly kill spawned phuabo3

JoL will not spawn the full set of 3 , if you dont have 3 phuabo outside.
You only get another 3 Phuabo if 3 are out.
If you manage to NOT kill the third JoL will give you another 3.
Make sure the third dies!

Else:
BLM nuke the shit out of JoL.
Oh and have a thf for the Novio earring.

Raptor mazurka loses its effect when your hit or you do an action on the mob. It also doesn't add hate. The only thing they can use for hate is lullaby and lullabyga. I could see the latter being usefull in rounding up 4 mobs at the same time sure. But when your taking one mob steal, mug and enfeebling ninjutsu will be more than enough to hold hate. Do you even know how to play ninja? Or are you one of those LOL I HAVE SHADOWS CANT DIE perspective ninjas.

I did contribute to the thread, about 2 posts down from when I said this. Nin/brd is a horrible choice in almost any tanking situation I can think of. If seriously suggesting nin/brd in a holding situation doesn't warrant a "lol" I don't know what does. Furthermore, if I cared about my posts having the Septimus seal of approval on it, I'd post a different naked galka at the end of every one.

And instead of making a useless zoom post, you could have instead substituted your critical analysis of NIN/BRD. That way everyone is happy.
