A motion sensitive wand won't really work for PS3 because it's not part of the base package. Market penetration for peripherals is really low...considering PS3 already has limited distribution, that means a very small target market for games which utilize it :-/

Yeah, generally speaking, unless it comes packaged with the system, its never going to become mainstream. I think one of the notable exceptions was the PS1 switching from its old controller to the dual-shock over its life cycle, but that was kind of forced I guess.

Although, this debate belongs in the console wars and not this thread, keep it about VC games here. I've got a question though. For those who play on the VC, is it pretty solid emulation? No slowdown, graphic errors, etc?

Yeah, I just wish it'd actually play games directly off the SD cards, would just make more sense. Are they just worried about pirating or something? As far as I know, the VC games are only playable on the system they're bought on anyway, right?

I've experienced some slowdown especially with sonic 2, but it's the same kinda slowdown that occur'd on the sega as well when you have the star thing. I was expecting the Wii's better power to avoid stuff like that, but it seems that they still play as if it's the old engine running it.

When is super metroid coming out, i have seen the list of games that will come out eventually, but there's no dates.

They also actually fix certain bugs that plagued the originals. They also notify you if an additional bug fix has taken place for certain games so you can redownload it ( free of charge ). Well not notify you personally, but they have announcements of what's been fixed.

I have noticed no slow down whatsoever. And N64 have been especially enhanced graphically, if you are using the component cables.

Yeah you can't move them onto the card, probably because of the pirating. (or well, not so much pirating it online as people just going over to their friend's house and copying the game into their HD, for instance..)

This thread has made me want a Wii more than anything else Nintendo has on it to date. I might just "impulse buy" one sometime down the road. After buying my 360 and seeing the price of the PS3, $250 doesn't seem that bad.

It's funny that it's still hard to find a Wii in physical stores, and impossible to find a Wii without a 500-600 dollar bundle on the online stores, seeing how it was released almost 7-8 months ago.

Right, and many people would see the Wii and just buy it because of what they heard about it, without any prior intentional plans to go out and buy one.

The mass attraction that this console offers is amazing, even if you get bored with it after a while, especially now when there aren't any exceptionally good titles around except for Zelda and SPM.

The value of money differs from person to person. I don't see how you can judge what anyone would consider an impulse buy or not. Exo seems well off with his Lexus, massive brand name TV and PS3! I can see him impulsively buying a Wii.
