You have to remember though, Hasbro, the company that made Transformers what it is in America, created how the Transformers would look in the movie.
Hasbro can rot in hell. Did you also know that Hasbro is the reason 75% of the original Transformers got killed off in the original movie? They wanted to discontinue making most of the action figures to they told the artists animating the movie to kill off most of them.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

This wasn't really worth crying about.1. Since when does Optimus have a mouth? He should've kept up his "battle shield(original "mouth")" the whole time.
Actually, every transformer had a proto-transformation until they scanned an object. They could have made him his classic gun or the generation 2 tank but would that have made as much sense? I guess it would have.2. Megatron was never a Cybertronian plane...ever
They had to update the transformers to today's world. Ironhide made sense as a truck. Ratchet would have been better as an ambulance, I agree. Jazz wasn't a Porsche, he was a Pontiac Solstice... and in light of the character he portrayed it made sense.3. Jazz was not a porche = fail. Ironhide not a van = fail. Ratchet = Humvee = fail.
That was Brawl. Typo on the subtitles, suppsoedly.4. Devistator as a tank = ultra fail
Plot was great. Only a few holes with one or two unnecessary scenes.5. Plot = horrible
The acting wasn't supposed to be spectacular. This was based on a children's TV show and toy line for crying out loud.6. Acting = terrible
The movie wouldn't have worked with the original origin storyline.7. The reason the Transformers fled to Earth was not for some stupid cube
So f'kin agreeing with this... Turturro ruined most of the movie for me.8. John Turtoro(Spelling?) was totally un-needed.
Needed more Starscream/Megatron screentime in general.9. As said before, needed moar Megatron/Starscream power struggle.
The script called for most of the older autobots to die as toy sales were declining. The only reason they killed Optimus was because they caught wind of the GI Joe movie killing Duke. When GI Joe saw what killing Optimus did, they changed the ending (thus screwing over Transformers fans everywhere).Hasbro can rot in hell. This isn't Macbeth bro, it's Transformers. The movie wasn't trying to move you with it's heart warming dialog or jaw-dropping plot twists. It was trying to entertain you with giant robot's shooting one another and a little lol's on the side.
How was the acting bad? Were the looks on the marine's faces not genuine enough when the robots were chasing them? Seriously, I don't get you people who wine about the most retarded things. Do people complain about there not being enough action scenes in a shakespearean play? No you say? I wonder why? Perhaps that just isn't the point of the film?
And LOL at the Megatron's faceplate. Seriously, is it that big a deal?
Jesus christ.

They took such a great show and fucking ruined it. That's as simple as it gets.
They brought in actors that were not needed and made them part of the movie when they didn't need to.
I already said it once, and I'll say it again, it was entertaining. That's it. I'll agree that the fight scenes were cool and such, but for me it boiled down to them taking something that was great and they thought of every way possible to ruin it. In that aspect, they succeeded 100%.
This movie was adapted to meet the demands of people who don't even know what the original Transformers was/was about. Plain and simple.
I said prime's faceplate, not Megatrons. Although Megatron looked absolutly fucking stupid, that's a whole different issue. And LOL at the Megatron's faceplate. Seriously, is it that big a deal?

Well to me, Transformers was all about Saturday morning entertainment and toys to look forward to. Once I outgrew it I left it behind.Originally Posted by Vertabreaker

I approve of this quote and quoting how long it is.
After watching the movie, did anyone else have the urge to build a little robot with simple 'kill all humans' AI and let it free in the world? :D
No, but broke out my Total Annihilations CDs to play again, and just bought Supreme Commander. :DOriginally Posted by Siniroth
It was worth my $8.25, but theres definitely room for some improvement in the sequel. Specifically:
-Less jumpy camera - maybe its a Bay thing, but it happens a lot in action movies and it makes it impossible to tell whats happening on screen.
-More depth to the Decepticons (and the Autobots too, for that matter) - they barely had any lines or story. Granted its the first movie but a bit more interaction would have been great. Even 1 extra minute with a few lines of dialogue between Megatron and Starscream could have fleshed them out a lot more.
-And speaking of dialogue - better dialogue. Sometimes it seemed like the writers were all 12 year olds.
And in terms of nerdy hopes: red Ironhide, white ambulance Ratchet, Soundwave (+minions), Shockwave, and some Constructicons. And a new Autobot or two - maybe Wheeljack or Hound; Prowl would be good but it might confuse some people with Barricade already in the first. Unless they had them both, for a cop car duel. Not sure how the Dinobots could work. Wheelie can stay and guard the base.
My take:
Ironhide/Prime/Bumblebee - Keep as is
Ratchet - Give him white paint job
Jazz - Bring him back
Starscream - Give him Thundercracker as a wingman and have him scan an F-14 please!
Barricade - Uh, show wtf happened to him
New ones:
Hound - Add hound, have him scan an army hummer
Prowl - Add as foil to Barricade, can scan a Chevy-whatever cop car
Soundwave - Have him scan an on-stage sound system or an XM/Sirius Satellite
Shockwave - Starscream should bring him back with him along with Thundercracker
It's a Michael Bay thing.Originally Posted by Avinor

Some of Wells' dying words were about how he despised the idea that the last film he was ever in the credits for (to his knowledge) was just an ad to sell toys.Originally Posted by Yangsing
