And the glasses plot was like WTF? Your telling me Megatron sent out a single directional signal that could be stopped and absorbed by 1940 eyewear?
I think the Voltron movie is being produced by a different guy, not J.J. Abrams. The name was mentioned in a previous post, on either page 4 or 5.Originally Posted by Yangsing

And also, yes there could have been non-American cars. However, you need to get permission from the manufacturer/licensing owner. So if you wanted Bumblebee to be a murcielago, you'd have to get clearnace from Lamborghini. In addition, I think Bay would much rather have supported American car companies over foreign companies.
about the JJ abrams movie, http://www.ethanhaaswasright.com/ its a website with flash based puzzles that unlock little clues and shit about it, havent looked into it much, was linked to it by a friend this morning. seems like it might be an invasion movie.
and about the american cars, i believe they were all GMC, and i believe GMC paid a truckload of money to make sure of it, not a big shocker, the product placement was some of the most ridiculous i have ever seen.

Um no it wasn't Dodge, and no Dodge does not own GMC. Most of the Cars were General Motors(chevy, pontiac, catillac, GMC, etc), except for Barricade who was a Mustang.Originally Posted by MF Perm
Yup, I apologize for that. I don't know shit about cars, I quoted a friend. Disregard my post ; ;Originally Posted by Bweigelt
i thought GM and GMC were the same, my man card is gonna take a major hit for this one.
C+ at best i'd say :\
The ending seemed like a total cop-out because they ran out of money, the dialog was terrible aside from the few throwbacks to the original movie. Almost every scene seemed completely pointless aside from a few, and the number of plot holes and continuity errors was staggering.
I wanted to love it, but I couldn't. Michael Bay fails yet again.
(FWIW, I thought Megatron flicking the human as he gets up was probably the best damn part of the movie)
Another thing that bugged me about this movie was the whole Sector 7 garbage. It just seemed so retarded and not needed at all.
Whooohooo! Megatron isnt dead, he is revivided by Scorpionok![]()
How come Prime had a sword instead of any axe?![]()

Homage to thatOriginally Posted by arlania
GMC is a car brand, GM is the actual entity that owns all the other car companies(including GMC). And Ford wouldn't give the Mustang's licensing rights for the movie, so they went straight to Steve Saleen, and he said it was okay to use his S281 Mustang model in the movie, which is what Barricade was.
As for the sequel thing....(Spoiler shrink)didn't they dump all the bodies into the Abyss at the end? If so, how did Scorponok find his body?
edit: another little bit of info i found on the Wiki :D
On May 30, 2007, Dreamworks greenlit two sequels to Transformers, and Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Peter Cullen signed on to return. Producer Tom DeSanto has envisioned a storyline introducing the Dinobots, the Constructicons, and Soundwave. Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman may not return, as "Star Trek... is taking up kind of all of our time." Michael Bay has not signed on, "trying to keep some leverage for the negotiations", but already has ideas, including an aircraft carrier character.
Dude, if they bring back Megatron, then they HAVE to bring back the other Autobot too right? He got his arm ripped off and he dies, yet BB loses both of his legs and still looks impeccable in the ending scenes.Originally Posted by Swatt
If they dont bring megatron back as galvatron then its not worth it no matter what. If he's doing it how the series goes..optimus should sacrifice himself in the 2nd or 3rd(maybe) movie and possibly be revived back to end it with galvatron.Originally Posted by Deejay
