I just got back from the movie myself. I really enjoyed it.

I thought the first hour of the movie was really slow. I know they had to develop the human characters: Sam and Mikaela, the soldiers, and the hackers.

I dont even get why the hackers were in the movie. And Patrice O'Neal? I mean I like the guy, he's funny..but when I think of super hacker I dont think of anyone remotely like him. I thought the Die Hard version of a super hacker was fantastic with the whole room setup and this was crap in comparison.

That was Anthony Anderson, not Patrice O'Neal.

Black people all look the same :O. My bad, he still isnt a good choice for a hacker character at all though.

And the glasses plot was like WTF? Your telling me Megatron sent out a single directional signal that could be stopped and absorbed by 1940 eyewear?

I think the Voltron movie is being produced by a different guy, not J.J. Abrams. The name was mentioned in a previous post, on either page 4 or 5.

edit: guy's name is Mark Gordon.

And also, yes there could have been non-American cars. However, you need to get permission from the manufacturer/licensing owner. So if you wanted Bumblebee to be a murcielago, you'd have to get clearnace from Lamborghini. In addition, I think Bay would much rather have supported American car companies over foreign companies.

The ending seemed like a total cop-out because they ran out of money, the dialog was terrible aside from the few throwbacks to the original movie. Almost every scene seemed completely pointless aside from a few, and the number of plot holes and continuity errors was staggering.

I wanted to love it, but I couldn't. Michael Bay fails yet again.



(FWIW, I thought Megatron flicking the human as he gets up was probably the best damn part of the movie)

GMC is a car brand, GM is the actual entity that owns all the other car companies(including GMC). And Ford wouldn't give the Mustang's licensing rights for the movie, so they went straight to Steve Saleen, and he said it was okay to use his S281 Mustang model in the movie, which is what Barricade was.

As for the sequel thing....(Spoiler shrink)didn't they dump all the bodies into the Abyss at the end? If so, how did Scorponok find his body?

If they dont bring megatron back as galvatron then its not worth it no matter what. If he's doing it how the series goes..optimus should sacrifice himself in the 2nd or 3rd(maybe) movie and possibly be revived back to end it with galvatron.
