Quite a few people got wrecked by Abyssal Eaters (who are aptly named because they eat abyssal ones). It was a tragic, fodderish way to die, but not everyone gets a 10 minute death scene full of tears and memories. And apart from Rifuph fucking up Priscilla, everything is pretty clear.

Obviously characters who are just introduced in a fight aren't going to get background stories and amazing character development. If it pains you so much to read, just shut up and wait quietly for it to end. Alternatively you can continue to visit this topic so people can see your bitching and moaning about a series that is apparently past it's expiration date.

To get back on-topic, anyone get the vibe from the past two or three chapters that there's going to be a huge revelation between the Raki/Priscilla/Isly relationship?

Priscilla apparently getting defeated, she's not, these new awakened being's taking an interest in Raki, who has something going on having absorbed those parasitic rods previously, while simultaneously bringing up Isley. Something screams to me Isly planned for something no one saw coming for a long time.

That's the main "problem" with this series. In order to understand what's going on you have to read it in chunks which makes it more coherent but you cant stop yourself from reading each chapter as it comes out.

^I think I mention this every so often, but I keep to reading/collecting the graphic novels. I hardly collect any manga anymore and this is one of like 3 titles I still follow. It's must more engaging to pick up a new block of 2-3 books and read them than just that 1 chapter a month.

Meh chapter, didn't really care about Priscilla's backstory (or character in general) so the only thing interesting is what might happen next month.

They already touched on her backstory and it was the same shit from the first time they did it except we learned that the village wanted to deal with the youma their own way which is irrelevant, imo. The whole internal struggle shit was boring to me. Typical Japanese "I GUESS I SHOULD STOP HOLDING BACK! LOL!" trope.

The only interesting thing I got out of her backstory was that she killed her own father I'm guessing which I don't think we ever knew. Before she awakened she was crying about her "mama and papa" if I remember right but I don't think it was ever revealed that she was the one who killed the youma in her town with it actually being her father. I'm guessing this developed a split personality in her, the "innocent" child and the one capable of killing her own father (ala Madlax maybe?). My guess this was the internal struggle she was fighting for whatever reason (as to why she was fighting it now and not any time earlier...I have no idea).

I'd have to go back and watch to be sure, but I think in the anime she mentions that she killed her youma father.

But yeah...waste of a chapter. Hurry up and get to the Claire/Priscilla fight etc...
