All I was trying to say was that from a strictly logical, Darwinian point of view concerned with personal gain and time management, it makes sense. Cue dead horse, etc.
Let's get back to them RMTards eh!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating gil buying in any way, I see it as a cheat in this game to get ahead. The blatant gilbuyers are basically just lazy as opposed to unskilled or unintelligent. The main reason I oppose it is because it's getting ahead with little effort as opposed to all those other people that have worked for their equipment/gil.
::includes the obvious gil-buying supports gil-sellers, and thus gil-buyers are the dredge on FFXI economy, not the sellers D: ::
We will level your goldsmithing trade skill from 70 to 80. This skill requires 25 million Gil to complete which is NOT INCLUDED in the price of the leveling. The estimated time of completion ranges from 12 to 18 days depending on your job, server, downtime, and if you login, and play.
I am a different toaster, yeah. Turn my world around!
Uh, most of the "skill" in the game is prioritizing gear correctly. Buying gil so that you have infinite purchasing power, and thus don't need to spend critical thought deciding what to purchase for which purposes first, tends to lead to not knowing how to equip onesself properly.Originally Posted by Carnusty
Quite frankly, if $350 can really buy you a morrigan's, it's money well spent. However, the way they phrase it implies that it's gonna be a pickup group and you'll probably end up with absolutely nothing XD

You could probably spend less money paying 6 or 7 people to do runs with you until you get the robe. I'm sure you could find people (assuming they don't want or can't use the robe) who would do it for $30 or so each. Hell, if I couldn't use the robe I would happily do salvage runs with that person for $30 until they got it. I love salvage, and plus the helpers could even get other drops out of it. That way you're not just doing 7 runs with a pick up group but instead as many runs as it takes.
