Star Ocean 1 & 2 Remake/Port for PSP AND future SO4

For Reimei, I have a pretty decent crit/atk build so I pretty much do constant high damage. And yeah, higher survivability rate due to not having to be up close is nice to me, always liked long-range characters lol

Yeah, Reimi with Crit/ATK Boost she's pretty amazing. She's 9999 attack on my game, higher then Edge lol.

Im just curious what characters does everyone use and why?

Meracle: I'd be lying if I said I didn't use her because she's the token loli catgirl, but she became so much more awesome when I got to control her.
Arumat: Scythe fan. I thought he'd be the typical emo character but Edge took that spot for a while lol. He's alot cooler now that I actually use him.
Myuria: Big breasted elf. I wanted at least one caster in my party and it was a debate between her and Sarah. Does Sarah actually do damage dealing spells or is she specifically a caster?

I use Edge, Reimi, Meracle(controlled by me) and Sarah. I don't know how you wouldn't use Sarah, unless the others get similar healing spells.

Edge learned Healing a long time ago but I rarely use his symbology. I've always relied on items in Star Ocean games and nixed the healer when I got them (only exception was Millie in the SO1 remake because Millie is <3). Also, Myuria learned Fairy Healing recently in my game. I almost want to just use Sarah in place of Myuria because I like her a lot more but if she's just going to be dead weight outside of healing I'll keep Myuria.

You wont get very far endgame without Sarah's dedicated heals, I suspect. Unless you reaaallly like grinding..

So it's safe to assume I can toss out Myuria and not worry about it right? So far Edge and Meracle have dominated everything mostly because I got Meracle's Dragon Claws from the Coliseum for 2,800 or so points. Edge + Critical Hit skill maxed + HP Up maxed + Blindside timing is so great in the coliseum. As soon as it opened up I got to rank 25 or so at level 42.

Edge has Healing, but Sarah has Ex Healing, two different levels of the Faerie AOE heal, an entry level ressurection ability that heals a certain %, and a full blown ressurection that recovers 100% hp. She has an atk boost and defense boost and also a buff that enhances, atk, defense, and I think int. But that's only 15% boost instead of 30% the other buffs give. I honestly cannot imagine doing any of the optional content after you beat the game without Sarah. Edge getting that symbolic weapon buff though is pretty amazing. My main party is around level 155 but I intend on leveling Myuria as well to see how she does, but mostly from a dps caster standpoint. Well and she looks kinda good on the battlefield.

Just wondering how people make their casters (myuria/lymle) do damage? Compared to my physical attackers they don't even come close, between the casting time and the actual spells I see them doing wayyyy less damage, which is why I always end up with all melee/physical DPS oriented classes (which doesn't work well for some fights). So i'm wondering if there's a way to boost the damage more that I just haven't been doing, also current party: (mid 40s ish) Edge/Arumat/Meracle/Reimei, although I'm starting to consider Sarah now after reading the last few posts on here.

Myuria healing is just fine.
Faerie Star (90% party heal) + Fast Cast can actually make her better in senses.
Its more if you want to have a buffer/healer or if you want to have a DPS/healer.
I haven't done anything with Sarah yet, and I've had the Ethereal Queen down to about 5% HP, so..

Neither have I tbh. I've done just fine with my set of Edge/Reimi/Bacchus/Myuria.

Wow..I just spent 5 hours in the Wandering Dungeon and lost to the Ethereal queen at about 5% HP. Goddamnit.
lol @ being 8th/~11,000 in america for SO4 achievements though..if I wouldve killed her I wouldve been 4th <_<;

also pretty sure #1 hacked somehow because he's been at 1000/1000 since the 3rd day it came out in the US

I'm not sure if he's hacked for other games, but its 100% physically impossible to have gotten all the achievements after the 3rd day XD
I mean, if it was possible, I'm absolutely positive someone from Japan would have gotten them before he did seeing as how it came out a week before
