Huh. Guess I thought the cap was 100 and the 50% BT was to get to 200. What does the removal of the cap do then? Just allow you to go to the old 255 or higher?
200 is normal cap; 255 is the BT cap.
I get the feeling that breaking the 200 cap won't be too important, I'd imagine being DEF/ATK capped (or near it) around then, maybe HP/GRD/HIT would be the only things you'd increase?
In any case, Gabriel Celeste + not knowing anything about the fight beforehand = fail, although I did learn when your main party wipes you get a chance to use the other characters, that was interesting.
I figured that out on theand Arumat saved the day, hah.Spoiler: show
Seeing as how he had Arumat, I'm going to assume it was the insect boss in the dungeon after.
Speaking of which, I don't know why everyone seems to have a problem with that boss, I found it to be easy :/
I didn't have a "problem"... I just didn't kill him the way you're supposed to. I don't think I really ever hit his weak spot. I just overpowered him the entire time.
You can solo gabriel Celeste (with Edge for sure, others I don't know), hes really not that hard.
That fight not on Wandering Dungeon really pissed me off though...just simply because I was soloing it with Reimi for a good half-hour because I was out of revive items and I got dicked in the face with a bad timing of a earth glaive dodge and just got fucked up from then on.
But yeah, I was talking about the insect boss...can also get the 6x ambush BT with Edge in the wandering dungeon if you get the "Defeat the Assassins!" task on like floor 18+..theres like 9 ambushes.
Finally got some free time to start playing this again.
Just hit the 30% BT mark, this is gonna suck
Should be going after the final boss later today, hopefully I was able to get all the endings so I never have to waste time with PAs and Blue roses again, fuuuuuuuuuuck
I got my missing endings the other night finally. Crowe's was certainly interesting, Faize's was kinda meh. Some people on gamefaqs were saying those endings aren't "canon" and are just fanservice, since they don't make much sense, but whatever, it was entertaining.
I'm working on doing quests and extra stuff now on Universe. I already know I can't get my 100% chests and recipes since I forgot to charge my fire ring before going to old Earth and I missed the first recipe memo in the beginning. But I figure I'll try and do the rest of the stuff including the extra dungeons. As I was doing stuff on Roak I noticed the Astral Caves weren't open yet. I figured it'd open once you beat the game but apparently not. What triggers it?
In Astral, in the Knight's office area, talk to the blue haired guy on the left, he'll tell you to kill 30 desert ogres, so do that (ones you killed before starting quest dont count) then go back to him, his next quest will involve the astral caves and will open them up
Where exactly are the Philosopher's Stones in Wandering Dungeon? I only got maybe 5-6 levels down into it but I didn't encounter any of the enemies that allegedly drop them (Damascus something and Grim Reapers?) Kinda buggin' me, there's a lot of things I'd like to finish up.
Also, does GC's Feather dissappear once you use it once? Or am I just not able to Dupe that particular item?
The Damascus Forts that drop Philosopher's stones are on floor 11+ and Grim Reapers are on 16+.
GC's feather does disappear once you use it but you can kill him for more. But he's more powerful each time you fight him. First fight he has 2 wings, next time 3 wings, then 4, up to 6 I believe.
oh jesus, is he in the same location? he wasn't there after i killed him (obviously) so i'm guessing he resets once you zone? or is there just somewhere else to find em
also, what about some good Monster Jewels? The only good one (that I like outside of situation heavy usage) is Ashlay's jewel, is it worth going through the game again to pick up some of the other storyline boss jewels?
Honestly I haven't really found any decent gems other then EQ (I haven't even personally got it) and Ashlay's (I haven't got that one either.
But yeah, Gabriel should appear once you run out and back in to his same room.
