Who the fuck said its dumb because they lost ? me ?
I said Einherjar is fucking stupid because its an event entirely based on luck instead of skill.

lolWhat I see is a lot of people complaining about how dumb this is because they lost.
i totally agree with Ninjya and Toth about balancing and other game issues; Einhaerjar is bad designed, that is all : in terms of difficulty, rewards and global system. after something as perfect as Limbus, this is definitely a huge step back in terms of multi-player activities.
they should had added drops *during* runs, just like Dynamis or Limbus; this way wipes would at least be a little productive, instead of 30 mins + consumables wasted and nothing else.
Abj drops? well, unless Odin drops like 2 bodies per fight, 100% chance, the whole profit is kinda ridiculous :
never losing (which really looks hard given the random elements), all players attending all runs (hard to believe) you'd do 1 Odin x month, with 36 ppl total all wishing for a reward.
Just wait, first shell to kill odin will get 2 shura bodies.Originally Posted by Tomino

Einherjar needs a fixing, unless it was SE's intention to make it completely batshit random.
Something in my gut tells me Odin's drops are as follows:
-100% chance of 1 Aht Urhgan abj. body
-50% chance of +1 Aht Urhgan abj. body (different)
-100% chance of 2 (maybe 1) different Zilart abj. bodies
-25-50% chance of +1 Zilart abj. body (different)
-100% chance of Valkyrie's Fork or that sword
-100% chance of Valhalla helm or breastplate
Then when they add ToA relic:
-1 Lv75 piece (with Nyzul as another alt.?)
-1-2 Lv74 pieces (with Nyzul as another alt.?)
-1 BLU body or legs -1
-1 COR body or legs -1
-1 PUP body or legs -1
i pictured Odin's drops similiar to ye old Dynamislord...
rare % of any Valhalla piece
average % of any weapon
100% change of abj. body drop (including the new ones)
No one is complaining about Einhejar being too easy or too hard. It is however ridiculous how its on a 3 day timer, drops nothing if you lose, and requires 30+ skilled people, AND then have to rely on luck to give you less mobs or weaker mega bosses. People are whining because many of us want to do it but the word of mouth and the ugly nature of it have made it a very undesirable event for a majority of the population. Salvage was irritating at first I agree but it was still quite doable (and winnable). The tier 2s runs of Einherjar look just as unencouraging thus far.
P.S Why did it say level 60s can participate? Who would allow any lvl 60 to come![]()
The same reason a solo party of 6 can enter. Stupid design with very little thought given to what's actually winnable.Originally Posted by Toth
see thats what confused me at first...Dynamis has 65+ cap, Limbus has 65+ i think salvage does too...Yet they make this 60 cap. There has to be something to it that makes it easy...But this is SE and we'll never figure it out because they will never say shit.Originally Posted by Zosi

Has anyone tryed widescanning in here, i know we figured somethin out with zhayolm rem and widescanning for which cells drop. Maybe there are certain mobs that don't link? Because outside of marid, these mobs arn't terribly tough solo
You can't widescan in einherjar, there's no map.
I'm betting that in a few months when they do their next interview, they'll tell us their QA team has beaten every Einherjar zone with a single party of six level 60s wearing nothing but AF1.Originally Posted by Seraphise
Personally, when I read the announcement for Einherjar, I was picturing something like Dynamis where if you went in at the minimum level, you'd NEED the maximum number of people, but if you brought in an experienced group of 75s, you could clear zones and win with much smaller groups.
I tried... ;/
Maybe this will stop when people post more Einherjar II info.
It's not stupid, it's just a product of the game's design. A 65 mage/backline can still make a dent in, say, Dynamis, especially if it's a support job and there are few others. As a melee, 70 is the lowest you can be and sill hit regularly enough and hard enough that you aren't a total leech. This isn't optimal, but that's what it's allowing for on at least a theoretical level. In practice, obviously, only a well geared, well balanced group will make any real progress and that's the only type of group that will be created and charged with entering.Originally Posted by Zosi
Or it's there to prevent "Hey, I'm going to bring my level 1 mule to hold this area for us", not so stupid after all.
Anyone who argues that you should bring in 36 people and on top of that say they are all skilled is missing the entire point... which is very simple: Einherjar is 100% luck-based. If a crappy 20-man alliance full of shitty players can beat Tier Is just because they get 6 mobs and an easy boss, an elite 36-man alliance should be able to do the exact same with 20 mobs and a Marid.
It's broken. It needs fixing. I don't give two shits if the hardcore-never sleep-buttfucker-JP-worshipping-endgame shells have all beaten them or even if the mainstream NA LSes have beaten them. If it's meant to be challenging, it should be challenging because of the skill required... not because of your chance of getting 6 mobs instead of 24. That's utter bullshit. Now, it'd be different if they gave you an hour. Then the whole "woamg lol" factor wouldn't be so full of shit... then again... what they really need to do to fix it is:
1) Scale mob level, number, and difficulty according to levels and number of players.
2) Mob type is based on jobs brought... since it's pretty impossible to pre-balance a party (seriously, what the fuck... how will 6 balanced parties beat 24 fucking dark elementals?).
3) Boss needs to have less HP, or HP scaled with the number of players brought in.
4) Get rid of the fucking double dark weather... 90% of the mobs in the areas can't even be slept reliably with Sleepga, so there's no point.
5) Raise drop rates or add other drops as incentive... you don't have to do Dynamis 20 times to get materials to ugprade relic weapons why the flying fuck should you have to do Einherjar 20 times just to get a single crafting piece for abjurations that don't even drop?
6) Increase the amount of Ichor gained... or give Ichor based on number of mobs killed, time remaining, and players remaining alive upon completion.
Hildesvini is broken, but God, stop complaining about it in the Einherjar Tier II thread. There is so much retarded exaggeration in this thread that you could mistake it for an Allakhazam CoP mission debate. Maybe you should read what the people who have actually done Tier II have reported, or maybe even go try it out yourselves before shouting BROKEN and UNPOSSIBLE. Oh wait, you don't even do Einherjar.

I'd comment about Einherjar Tier II, except theres just one problem. I'm 0/3 in Einherhar Wing I and most of my LS thinks its a waste of time and effort now because luck hasnt been going our fucking way. And it seems its not just my linkshell who seems to think this seeing as how I"m not the only one with this opinion.
Cool, but this is the wrong thread for it!Originally Posted by NynJa
