Some elements are stronger than others. Which skill item are you using?Originally Posted by Chupunpupun
i believe all guild items are 9 strength while the mannequins are 6 each. as such, you'd need at least 5*6-9+1=22 additional strength of the element of your guild item. some are easy to pull off, such as earth for the gilt tapestry, while others, such as fire or darkness, can be a real pain in the ass. ofc, if you're goldsmithing, merely plunking the fool's gold down will do the job as it's light based, just like the mannequins.
Actually, fire is pretty easy. Royal Bookshelves have elemental power of 8 and give you 4 storage spaces. I think darkness and lightning are the hardest ones to pump up.Originally Posted by Spekkio

Lightning was hard pre-ToAU, But the ToAU furniture gives good Lightning bonuses. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Console gives enough that only a few of them was enough to overpower a massive fire bonus in my MH [sandy flag and royal bookshelf along with lots of red jugs]Originally Posted by Septimus
Wind has to be the hardest in my opinion. There is like only 5 Wind Furnishings in the game, and I think only 2 of them have more than 1 storage space. I'm praying that we get some wind event based furnishing soon(like we got thunder and fire). My goal is to have Windurst Conquest moghancement.
I'm clothcraft, so earth which seems reasonably easy. Thanks for the help.
I'm woodworking and have 3 mannequins. Here's what I got if you want some ideas. Some of it is just for looks and not needed though lol. BTW I get 45 storage out of it

i stacked probably a dozen of these (maybe more) in my MH to maintain my windy conquest moghancement (pre-toau. i just haven't been bothered to change it.) and easily overpowered my mannequins and other crap. they're cheap, easy to make, and have good storage. they just look ugly as sin. can't have everything though, i guess.Originally Posted by BRP

Holy crap, that's a hot moghancement. I may have to pick up a few of those to give my second character Bastok Conquest as well as the delicious storage space.Originally Posted by cassiraa

Earth element, 10 aura strength. Wouldn't be too hard to load up on these to get powerful moghancement gardening.

those should be good and strong if the info is right. some are cheaper than others, like the workbench is almost nothing to make and coughs up a hefty 6.
Can someone describe their Mogenhancement: Bonecraft MH setup? Seems really annoying to achieve...
It looks like you would have to get several Autumn's End paintings and possibly a few Walahra Burners.Originally Posted by Doc
With Bahamut prices, a Walahra Burner would cost about 170k to make if you knew a 93+ goldsmith with woodworking sub. Since you can have a maximum of 5 wall items, you would need to make up 17 aura strength if you wanted powerful dark energy. (Each painting is 5 and the Drogaroga's Fang is 9.) You could use 4 Walahra Burners and Chocobo Bedding, or 3 Walahra Burner and a Timepiece to do that.
Dark energy is a pain.
Mine consists of 4 chocobo beddings, millionaire desk, drogaroga's fang, and 5 autumn ends as far as dark energy goes. It lets me put down 7/8 mannequins and still have the bone moghancement. There's not a ton of room for other stuff though since the beddings and mannequins are hueg (only an aquarium and a jeweled egg besides that, had to remove my sandy flag). You could probably keep the flag up and drop a mannequin if you have one.Originally Posted by Doc
Out of curiosity, Does the strength of the moghancement affect the bonus to conquest points, or is it a static number?Originally Posted by Septimus
I know this is a real necrobump but I wanted to share my findings for Mogenhancement: Clothcraft since the new furniture Bahut came out.
8 Mannequins (7 Storage) = 56 storage spaces
3 Bahut (8 Storage) = 24 storage spaces
With just this alone I received Mogen:Light and 80 storage. Adding another Bahut and a Maple Table with my Gilt Tapestry up gave me Mogen:Clothcraft.
8 Mannequins (6 Light) = 48 Light Energy
4 Bahut (8 Earth) = 32 Earth Energy
1 Maple Table (8 Earth) = 8 Earth Energy
1 Gilt Tapestry (9 Earth) = 9 Earth Energy
Totals of:
48 Light Energy and 49 Earth Energy
Hope this helps others, like it helped me.
Hate to Necro again but:
With that current setup above; I lost Mogen: Clothcraft and gained Mogen: Gardening after the June 9, 2008 VU. I'm thinking Bahut gained 1 earth, making them equal to the Gilt Tapestry to a total of 9. I'm thinking in order to get Mogen: Cloth back I'm going to need to obtain the Signboard, which has earth 10.
When I decide to play with my furniture again and find a way to gain Mogen: Earth without having to buy the Signboard I'll update in this thread.
I'm having the same exact thing happen to me & I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get Mogen: Clothcraft backOriginally Posted by Naver
On top of that, I'm already strapped for inventory space as it is... ugh... & I'm still like 85k away from the stupid signboard. D: If I find anything that work, I'll post here as well.
edit: Ok, you seem to be correct according to my setup, about the Bahut being changed. I took out the Bahut & added some Caisson's in its place & got my Mogen:Clothcraft back.
