First of all, I doubt Kiefer can bench his own body wieght so there's no way he would beat John in a fight. Second of all, while Jack is torturing, John would be cracking jokes about how he's going to kill Jack, and then follow through with it.

McClane did YOUKNOWWHAT to himself to kill Gabriel. So.. unless Jack has done that. McClane.

Plus he took out a helicopter with a car and surfed on an F-35. And that was just this movie alone.

Jack has CTU providing backup. John works solo.

Jack wouldn't exist if Die Hard wasn't made so essentially John is Jack's daddy.
