Anyone who has redone AF multiple times please help

I think the same rules apply when you redo the quests as when you do them. I'm pretty confident that you have to finished all pieces before you can reset. You can have as many AFs open as you want, but you can only have ONE hands quest open at a time. You can toss pretty much anything if you want once you finished. Can't replace it though, unless you finish and restart again.

some confusing info in here, some wrong info, and some right.

Here are some facts (I've redone select pieces on 5 jobs).

If you leave the set in storage you can get the replacement piece without tossing anything (tossing anything besides the weapon defeats the whole purpose since you need one to turn into Sagheera to upgrade and one you want to store forever...)

Assuming you did the "set" the first time when leveling, it will be on your completed list - and therefore eraseable - by the LJ NPC.

You can erase/reset (and restart) as MANY job af quests as you want, that are already complete. If not complete = not on list = can't reopen.

You have to do the Weapon (lvl 40-41) as a starter for all, and may need to do AF2 in order to do AF3 as they are queste in sequence. For example, RDM hat, and BST legs are considered AF3 and have prerequisites of completing AF2 in order to open. This does not mean hand coffers which are separate.

One hands open period. Make sure you're on the right job if you have multiple AF's you're redoing as that's the one you will get. Can't cancel, must finish, DS and all that.

If you ever want to reset a 2nd time for same job series, you have to finish all pieces AGAIN and then erase again and start over from scratch again. Example, I had to get RDM af2 feet in order to open Rdm AF3 hat - tossed feet. If I ever want feet i need to do all the rest and go back to do over.
Quest log will not show complete until all pieces are done.

Trick: for some reason BRD af2 feet you dont' have to redo the fight. just go thru the motions and she gives them to you. Not that you want them but if you want to redo brd body you have to clear these.
