No, no the best event was the Twinkling Treants. They were bugged and had like 14 kazillion HP. The best part was that the reward was unlocking the outposts. That's when SE knew how to make a reward, not just some stupid looking hat.

True story:
So back in the days of Bibiki Bay exp, I'm forming a party, and we're discussing where we're going to exp. The paladin (either mentally retarded, an RMT, or both), remains quiet the whole time, and everyone agreed on Bibiki Bay. As everyone gathers at the bay, sure enough the paladin can't enter. Dumbfounded, he asks why, and we proceed to explain to him that he needs CoP to enter the area. Now here's the kicker: He then asks "Where can I buy CoP? The Auction House???" LMAOOOOOO
I had to share that one. To this day it still makes me chuckle. :D

When I first started playing I wanted to buy things from the AH, I asumed the AH would be a kind of shop type thing. I went up to the door in Sandy but I couldn't work out how to open it. I then spent about an hour shouting asking if someone could tell me how to get into the AH. Someone took pitty on me in the end and showed me the counter at the side. ; ; lulz
I still think you should be able to go "inside" the AH though. >.>
