lol is that in South Gustaberg????
lol is that in South Gustaberg????
Gigant Toad was a server load test to see if the servers could withstand multiple PCs engaging a single enemy. Needless to say Gigant Toad was level 80+ and most of the people in beta were 1-60.
I recognize some of those names from Beta![]()
Looks more like North Gustaberg. (East side, slightly west of the bridge to the mines to be precise.)Originally Posted by Tulun
Yeah, on retrospect I was considering North (there isn't really a stream in south).Originally Posted by Septimus

they should have trained it to the goblin oof print and killed it av style ^^;
Incidentally, on the last day of Beta there were Moogles stationed in the 3 main cities that warped adventurers to HNM sites. Dozens of low-mid level players engaged Capricious Cassie, King Behemoth, Fafnir and Aspid. This was before the HQ kings were added so they used us as guinea pigs...
It wasn't all bad, GMs helped us out, with their Lv.80ness in incredibly powerful gear that wasn't available to players yet (Abjuration gear). After killing these, the GMs dispensed fireworks.

Kiting didn't exist yet. People didn't figure out how to kite until encountering Kirin after RoZ was released. Think he went undefeated for like 2 months.they should have trained it to the goblin oof print and killed it av style
is that a lvl7 RNG or something against KB? full leather =/
The happy nostalgia is so much that it makes me want to play again. Assholes.
That level 36 Leather Armor?
I don't know how you guys stood playing beta. I found it to be soooo boring, but I wish I had stuck around for the end event.

-How many times did Lloydst (Bahamut) quit?
-Standing next to Gackty meant you were cool.
-Makojin's mithra girlfriend wanting to sue some guy for using her credit card to play. Gigogoomba was her name.
Nice! That got my good laugh in for the morning!Originally Posted by Mayareira

They had in the lolBradyGuide, which a former LS leader described as "worth every penny".Originally Posted by Swatt

Perhaps not in XI, but kiting definitely existed in older MMOs. When I first started up I spoke with a friend who had played EQ and Ragnorok, he asked me if we used kiting at all and I told him no because I was a noob and didn't know what it meant <.<;Originally Posted by SeraphusRagnarok
Haha those take me back. Incidentially, Lloydst was the first LS leader that ever screwed me over. I think that's the LS I first met Daahan in too.Originally Posted by Cheerios
