I was going to post a long drawn-out reply in the fashion of my LS mates, but... I think Demonhunter's posts here themselves have said more about his play style, his attitude and his behavior than anything I could say. Enjoy him if he actually transfers!

Personally, the RMT argument means little to me, as a player who deals with RMT can just as easily own up to it, stop associating with RMT, and come back to the legitimate community. I've seen this happen once already, and while the player in question had a lot of stigma to scrub away, it all ended up well in the end. If Demonhunter wants to jump servers in an effort to make a fresh start, then more power to him, though one's history is never fully erased.

Regardless, Niki, I believe Demonhunter's belligerent arguments speak for themselves, and if you wanted to know what kind of person you're considering, then here you go. When pushed into a corner, he instantly goes ballistic, accuses his opposition of indefensible things like racism (granted, while almost all RMTs are from China, Lakshmi has recognized several legitimate shells from Hong Kong in the past) and hypocrisy. It is wise to remember that one's method of argument sends just as much a message as the argument itself.

We are very interested in HNM scene or sea or sky...not really for the gear..but just to have fun and do more stuff instead of always staring at AH when my gf goes to bed and i get stuck with the jp people in jp prime time except that i cant speak japanese

The funny this is that there're more shells than just NA and JP. There are also EU and HK shells that play during his hours, such Mass Destruction, Soul Hunter, and so on. There are also several Australian players on during JP hours, no surprise. While RMT activities are not viewed as negatively on those shells as they are on most NA or JP shells, what is important is that they're legitimate shells who play on JP times and are perfectly capable of conversing with Demonhunter in his native tongue...er, writ, as the case may be.

If Demonhunter is Chinese and unable to get into legitimate Chinese linkshells (where I would assume that players would try to stay close against an entire server that's hostile to them), then RMT activities notwithstanding, this says something about Demonhunter himself.

Any HNMLS who knows the consequences of buying from RMT would keep on trying to outclaim them at every single camp; as for myself, I am of the opinion that you do not buy sky triggers or even consider it out of general principle. If you can't get the claim, then too bad, someone's not walking home with Haidate. Either bring more motivated people and try harder next time, or simply accept that Haidate isn't worth your trouble. Or you can give in to (an attempted, but slowly succeeding) monopolization and buy a sky trigger.

It means we consider our reputation to be very important and we stick together, so when you talk trash about Eminence, of course you're going to have its members all over you. I wonder where your defenders are.

I'll be the next member of Eminence to say this: we don't buy accounts, ever. We have a very dim view of people who deal with RMTs. If there is any proof that our members have associated with RMTs, by all means, please present it.

I've literally seen better english from 15 year olds who were from mainland China. The fact that you're typing it as "u" instead of "you" and "dun" instead of "don't" doesn't help you in trying to convey the argument either.

Why not join HnaNM or QolSol then? Both have NA/JP/Chinese players in them and operate mainly on the same time you do. But wait...there's probably a reason why you don't. Care to make some more baseless arguments up? I'm actually enjoying having some half-decent and server-related drama to read on BG for a change.

On the language thing: America invented AOL. AOL infected the education system. 10yo NA's tok lik dis yo! Who is to blame for AOL being regarded as a new language? America.

On the timezone thing: It does suck for English speakers in JP Prime. I've even learnt basic Japanese to help me around the place. Yes it's hard to find parties and do things around this timezone. Over the years I've made a heap of good friends, Japanese, Chinese, HK, Malay, even Iranian. I in a NA Endgame shell, as well as a JP Dynamis shell, but the fact that I can only attend one event a week.

Re Buying from RMT: There's a fairly well known poster here that I shall not name, who's new linkshell were trading seals to the RMT in return for other seals they couldn't get. Won't name them, but is this not wrong? It happens people, Supply & Demand.

Back on the subject, I've heard bad things, and also good things about DH. There was a hazy period, but the overall fact to consider is that he is still here. If he'd done anything "wrong" he would have been outed by the STFU. Everyone makes mistakes. Buying off RMT from sky still goes on, even from certain shells who will remain name-less.

If I was to award someone an "Asshat" award, I could think of 30+ members of Lakshmi (if posted here, they would get glowing props from their peers) before even thinking about DH. There is worse that could come from Lakshmi.

I find it funny that when people send me a tell "(Do you speak English?)", I reply "Unfortunately yes...". We have to accept that to level with AOL users, we have to understand them. It's the sad truth that we have to sometimes lower our vocabulary levels just to be understood.

Meh, the guy is obviously confused. I never even heard of the people he was talking about. Then he told me it was cause I was new to the ls. Even though I have been in this ls, going back to the originl AI which is where this shell came from.
