I believe it doesn't show you the prize the person actually ordered, but just what he is capable of ordering with his current points.. yes it sounds stupid, but it is microsoft... and people reported that the shit that MS showed as their accounts ordering were not items that they actually ordered, so yeah..

I don't understand how he could've gotten so many points unless it's an old account from back when chick gave you 7k.

I don't think he actually got 40,000 points. Basically what I'm guessing happend is that he tried to get a zune or something with 20,000 points and club live timed out so that he lost all of his points and his order didn't go through. Club live usually just credits your account back with say, 20k new points so that his lifetime points would read as 40k even though he really on has 20k to spend.

If that's not what happend then I have no idea.

Microsoft updated the terms and conditions:

Rewards are not for resale. Microsoft may limit the quantity of Tickets or Rewards per Participant or per household.

Microsoft reserves the right to disqualify Participants and void their Tickets if found to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Program or are otherwise not in compliance with the Terms as solely determined by Microsoft.

Also it now mentions it could take 12 weeks from redemption time to get the prize instead of 8 weeks like before.

One thing they seem to neglect is the fact that if you ordered a prize under the old TOS, you never agreed to the new one, until you play again under its terms.

I dont want to be selfish or greedy, cause I want everyone to get there things, so maybe easind down a little on the gluttony of prizes may benefit us all, meaning more prizes for all of us + they dont catch on

I've no doubt people got their prizes. I'm saying that in typical internet-moron fashion people had to over-exploit the system so obviously that now nobody benefits from Microsoft's stupidity.

It's not like we all weren't cheating... but it frustrates me that there were also honest people that may not get what they ordered now due to the people with 900 accounts buying 90 copies of vista and 20 Zunes.
