Is this actually true?Don't even need a dual-bard setup for this place to own, if you consistantly pull and keep two trolls next to each other, Diamondhide is halved (if not more) on each troll, thus keeping chain there better ^^/

yes
also, ^___________________________________^
I think someone a looong time ago told me Diamondhide on one Troll was 700~damage, and if there were two trolls it'd be 350~each, so yeah, it keeps chains better if you pull in pairs ^^/
Trolls tend to sleep easier than most VT/IT stuff I've merited off of, so keeping them idle usually isn't a problem...the wide spawn area is though ._.
To the original post... it's starting to become a peeve of mine..
Why don't you people have Nyzul Isle?? It's the EASIEST one!!!!! God dammit.
Same guy who told you that invented all ways to make Goblins drop their bomb during Bombtoss i bet.Originally Posted by Carnusty
No...I'd say it's pretty accurate. I can usually Asuran/Jin straight through Diamondhide whether it be a single-hit or multi-hit buff. It rapes my parse average but it's more useful to the party as a whole imo <_<Originally Posted by Fridell
Fuck, candy's gone. Definitely not taking 10-15 minutes to get to a camp. Let's go to Bibiki Bay.
I learneded about Troll XP! Slow and Paralyze at the least. It's what, 17 total MP to save a few hundred in healing?
I see what you did there.Originally Posted by Despain
You know, if 10 minutes isn't too long to make a party wait to walk you there, why is it too long to go and get the point by yourself before seeking party? Some people are just impervious to logic.Originally Posted by Deftscythe
You could even kill two birds with one stone and seek PT while heading to the staging point.Originally Posted by Septimus

I should point out the staging point in question is mamool. My personal favorite line is the classic "I don't have time to do the essential prep work for parties because I work," a deviant subset of the "I have a real life/afk banging hot chicks." He was a Sam, and I found out later from a friend that, naturally, he tp'd in JSE body.
Hey, he works and has a real life, he doesn't have time to farm for decent gear!Originally Posted by Deftscythe

Thank you for the kick in the ass.
6/6 now, so if I ever need any of them, I don't look like the idiot that remains in Jeuno after a Teleport-Altep three years ago.
uh, or so i hear....
Number of RDMs on Unicorn who will be sleeping trolls during Diamondhide: +1Originally Posted by Carnusty
I didn't think I'd actually find any worthwhile newbie advice in the newbie advice thread, nice.
Diamondhide doesn't last long enough for a RDM to get the spell off regardless if there's a brd or not normally when I xp. I could careless bout how much I parse, its all about keeping the chain alive
Yeah, I've tried doing it on RDM and BRD, and most of the time melee wear through it by the time it actually gets slept.
Dynamis it's even less likely to do much of anything, PD and Invincible don't stop DoT damage from Dia or whatever.
I usually never had runic portal issues while in exp...but maybe the game decided it was time to laugh at my poor taru ;_;
I was leveling WHM when the leader decided on Mt. Zhayolm as our camp to exp. I'm thinking 'yay incinerator -_-' and earlier the leader asked me to sub SMN.
Two seconds after leader announced camp, he starts sending me tells...(Help me out!) (Warp) (Halvung)... basically asking me to sub blm and Escape from Halvung because he didn't have staging point.
If a pt member doesn't have it, oh well. sucks. But when a leader doesn't have it and yet deliberately chooses camp of one he doesn't have... dot dot dot.
Then today, we waited over an hour for our mnk to get to Caedarva Mire. We disband soon after and the mnk complained. I lol'd.
:3 At least I got to study a lot while "exping."
And from personal experience, by the time I can get a SleepII off on trolls, my pt has already burned through their Stoneskin![]()
This is what you get for not exping with me and company! ...Kidding.Originally Posted by Teia

We can ship out to anywhere you want.
I tried to make a PT on Saturday night... In the end, it ended up taking so long just to find people that had access to pretty standard areas that after an hour in sky the mire started to empty and we moved. Such a ridiculous waste of time.
Bottom line--The ToAU generation is for the most part spoiled by easy access to everything and have no clue what to do if ever forced into areas that use signet instead of sanction. Hey guys! Your laziness is what causes people to camp on top of other PTs, and your merit PTs on weak mobs hurts people trying to get through the most painful levels.
If it's full when you arrive, you have no right to be there. Look harder. Yes, I know the exp might not be as good, but part of respecting other people is leaving them alone if they were there first. Scout camps, don't just say you'll go and if it's full sit on everyone. If a zone is already saturated (meaning, there are absolutely no mobs up, or only completely undesirable mobs up), you leave. Don't try to say you'll 'invent' a new camp at MamoolJa Staging by standing in the middle and trying to steal skoffins and mamool from the back of the normal pull areas. End of discussion. Get access to everything--Portals, sky, sea--so you can go anywhere. This is true of all zones, all mobs, all levels.
