Um, you could make money pretty easily in the original version too lol.

ok, somebody splain to me in detail what I need to buy to play this
I have an old style ps2, I have the network adapter but havent plugged a hard drive into it, not willing to do mod chip because I fail at burning stuff, or is there some place I can ship my ps2 to to get a chip installed easily and safely
Buy swap magic 3.6 with a flip top(easier than the slide tool, even though it works just as well -- it just ruins your drive in the long run..)... easy to install, you simply have to switch a cd in before playing your import/burned backup, and it works like a charm.
$100 to play one imported game I basically already have... hmmm...
Or download it from BC? >.>
Err, I read that is not compatible with HDL, so the other option is to burn it ;oOriginally Posted by Exoduso
if you didn't play through the original JP version of this game, you'll have a hard time understanding the new boards lol
i'll get a video up soon and a few pics
Is it possible to just get a torrent of swapmagic & burn it to a dvd for ps2 to read? Or no? >_>
I don't think it works that way..
ok wtf
this is just impossible, feggin 2nd demon wall is much harder (the one you have to kill to get past)
these jobs make it that much more difficult D:
Dragoon
Knight
White Mage
=/
fast paced mode is funny as hell though
EDIT: Mist Knacks (quickenings) don't use MP now, it's like previous FFs like 10 where there's up to four bars
How do you use the quickenings now then?
And lol @ dragoon, can you jump and stuff?
not sure, i haven't done the whole license board yet, but you probably can
quickenings (Mist Knacks)
you know that overdrive bar in FFX? it's kinda like that, but it goes up to four bars (no there's no 4th MK) which fills as you take damage
Eww, that's kind of stupid.. mine just finished downloading this morning, i'll burn it when I get home and give it a shot.

Europe wasn't considered a RPG market, and in a way, still isn't. Also the mandatory translations to the local language that many countries, namely France, demand, doesn't make Europe an appealing market for text-heavy games.
My friend just imported a Japanese PS2, it cost him about $200 after shipping and handling, so now we're all just kinda waiting to see what games he'll import next. He's already picked up Super Robo Wars Alpha 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix + I'm not sure if he'll pick FFXII intl or not.
Most ppl reading are probably thinking "Fuck spending $200 bucks to import a JP PS2." But if anyone was curious, that's about what it cost. Each game shipped was about $70-$80 after shipping.
Buy swap magic 3.6 for 30 bucks w/ a slidetool/fliptop if its a fat ps2, magic keys 2 if it's slim, and then just download from BC...much much cheaper, and since they don't want you to buy it anyways (and are pretty clear about it since they're keeping it in JP), why pay for it?
Excuse my ignorance, but what is this BC you speak of?Originally Posted by Exoduso
So are there any unique moves/animations? I'd like to see some vids of gameplay of the new moves and jobs. Hopefully there are new spells as well. What happened to Ultima in FFXII, I don't recall seeing it.
I think Scathe was the closest thing to ultima. Which was a pretty bad ass spell.Originally Posted by Elcura
