Why" is the question I don't have the answer to. In truth I have pissed of lots of people in my time on FFXI, so it could be anyone of the possible hundreds? I wouldn't be able to name any off of the top of my head who would hold a personal grude over me save 1. This person believes I hacked her account even when I presented her with overwhelming evidence in the form of screenshots that I didn't..could be her, but I doubt it.

You seriously think Yshtar did it? Think of it, that slut has the brain of a dead fish...it'd take her years to figure out how to hack your account. She enjoyed sucking her LS's leader's richard though, and recently he and his douchebag friends have migrated servers...maybe to Kujata?

Stockyboy, there are 2 possibilities: 1.You really got hacked or 2.This is all bs.

If 1, then:

-You should have known it was coming. You're a douchebag to a lot of people, and you never know who is behind the character you just called a "wanker" or whatever other british crap you may come up with. Messing with the wrong crew can get you in trouble.
-Learn how to reformat/change info. Seriously. You were asking for a second round.
-Don't you think it's rather "cold" to have your shit stolen, having your family working to help you out...yet trolling in BG like you usually do?

If 2, then:

-Look at you. Seriously, look at you. You've been trolling these boards for months. Why? Why on earth would you troll on some Advanced Player forums when the hardest endgame you've seen is Byakko? People have realised you're a forum troll, nothing else. You have the endgame experience of a level 65 who just got sky. Posting on BG doesn't automatically turn you into a "cool" person or a popular guy. Open your eyes, people make fun of you, Mr. NQ Amemet Mantle Taru Dark Knight who just got sea access. I see all this thread as a cry for attention. A cry for the attention of those who have been making fun of you. Those who you look up to. And I'm being nice; some others have thought you might have plotted all this just to get away with some money etc.


The lack of details in this thread really shows how fake it is. You just want to keep people interested, just to make a name I'd guess.

By the way, saying you used bots/hacks doesn't make you cool either. On a side note, but on the topic of using cheats, let me tell you to those who got into an argument with Izzy about "using hacks in one game" and "using hacks in all games"...Izzy is a well-known user of windower and other cheats (want proof, go watch some BurningCosmossss videos).

Oh, another thing I wanted to point out...if you don't have FFXI installed, nor any CDs to install it...how the hell are you going to log into Riverwind to pwn Izzy in Al'taieu?

If I wanted to get FFXI back on my computer I could easily download a torrent couldn't I? Not that I can really be bothered with the time it takes to download torrents, then the update crap all over again when I don't even have a character on a server where any of my friends are.

They told me to secure our documents, change passwords on any internet accounts that were critical and erase the computer, which we'd already done by this point.

I don't really know anyone involved with this, but standard operating procedure for most network security issues like this wouldn't be this action. Generally in the case of a compromised system, you would first pull it off of the network/internet so it no longer could transmit or receive any information. Then depending on the situation you might actually power down the system, or you would leave it running just off of the network. In a case like this where it is a personal laptop, I would generally have it powered down but left in tact as it would have information that would be useful in tracking down the tool used to compromise the account.

I of course can't say that your police department internet crime division follows this procedure, but if they actually told you to erase the system that is somewhat shooting themselves in the foot.

Not sure, maybe we interpreted what they said wrong but we're pretty certain it was a trojan, which didn't show up on any scanner I had so I would've (and did) wipe it anyway, I need a working computer that I can access the internet on for internet banking and other vital stuff to do with school. Couldn't really go 1-2 weeks without one.

Well, he does have a point. If the police were smart, they'd have wanted to see it before you reformatted so they could find evidence of the hacking, the trojan, firewall and router log files, or other things. Now there's less evidence to use in the prosecution of the defendant, although hopefully for your sake there's still enough left to successfully convince a jury of his peers beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it. Or would he be tried in England, instead? Or in Turkey?

Not sure really, I'd imagine he'd be tried (if he is going to be..I wouldn't imagine so for this, but you never know) in his home country/state/wherever the fuck he lives.

Some people derail a thread by saying there was some "fun" at DA (we all know what "fun" means when talking about the Aery). A person said "oh, I missed the fun, that must have been it", as in "case closed". Yet you contribute saying "it was CFH too". Now, sir, care to explain to me what kind of psycological techniques did you use in order to "stop the derail by contributing to it"? When someone mentions "DA fun" and a CFH, there's a very high chance of the thread becoming a "X LS sucks, Y is the better" "I stick a Ridill up my butthole 2-3 times a day".
