Re: Alternatives to paying for cable TV

I bet that guy spends more time spewing his crap than the average person watches it.

    Notice this article?

"All in all, the dentists tend to be a pretty conservative bunch," prostitute Sapphire Jones said. "A lot of them do like to talk dirty, though. They'll say stuff like, 'I'm gonna drill a few holes,' or 'This won't hurt a bit, baby.' And when you suck them off and they come, they love to tell you to spit."

Stealing Cable is really becoming a hassle

In the old analog days you could get by with descramblers, and other methods, now with digital its really hard to get it done.
(there are ways to do it, but the risk is really high)

I used to have a descrambler for almost 10+ years, but finally after getting hit massive bullets (analog shocks surges sent to fuck up your descrambler, thats what I called 'em thru the cable wires) it died =/

Now I have the triple play package (Time Warner Cable), and all HD channels + all premium channels (for roughly $175)

*isn't posting this from work at a cable company, he swears*

Truth be told, it all falls down to what monopoly controls your city and the absolute worst they'll let you get away with. If you want the digital channels (See anything above 100) 65$ is probably the easiest you'll get away with.

What you want to do is find out their absolute lowest, ball breaking package. Its usually only 20 channels, but some providers will allow you to get that and digital service and block the 20-100 channels. You save like 10$ total, thats if the package your on doesn't 'discount' any of the other services.

Re: Alternatives to paying for cable TV

I dislike the cable "packages" and using a box as tuner I prefer the TV tuners. So, I went ATSC and I love it, (Although I do miss my F1 races)

ATSC doesnt offer any cable channels just crystal clear digital broadcasts from local stations. Good news is, on the east coast thats usually like 24 channels (including the sub channels)

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx Finds the direction of the digital broadcasts in your area very usefull if you are using a directional antenna.

Most new televisions come with ATSC built in, meaning you can grab digital television with regular old rabbit ears / the old antenna on the roof / etc.

You can in the US, but the problem with that is the fact that when you do that you open yourself up to prosecution from the federal government and face a shitton of fines. Cable theft is serious business down here.
