How much is PSO Ep 1&2 for gamecube?

    Topic.

I'm cleaning my closet out and found a copy which I got from gamestop a few years ago. I got it to stream ISO's to my gamecube lol. I'm throwing a few things on eBay and notice that this thing is going for a good amount of money. I do an amazon search and to my surprise it's like $70

I think I paid like $40 for it lol. Is it a classic now?

Why is it so expensive or is that just because of the ISO stuff?

They don't make it anymore and there is a huge fan base that likes it from my understanding. No idea.

Isn't Blue Burst the same shit? I have Ep 1&2, but I already used the serial ages ago to play.

I was looking it up to see if it was the one I have, but I see 2 versions.

What's the difference between the "normal" version and the "plus" version? I'd assume the Plus version is the more expensive one.

You have PSO, but never used the serials?

Going online with that game was amazing back in the day. I remember playing for 12 hours a day and never getting bored going through the same rooms over and over again.

Plus had an extra level for offline play, in the normal version this level could only be accessed online. That's the only difference iirc. The level was a tower with all sorts of mini bosses on every floor.

iirc that is the game that would let you play isos from your pc on your GC, hence the reason it would go for a lot.

    I played pso up the yin yang and was so disappointed with the plus version because it only gave you East and West towers (What you were referring to) for quests, and you could only do them when you finished Seat of the Heart which was hella hard and took like 4+ hours ._.;
Online was great back in the day, I remember spamming heat swords and endless nightmares over and over again, and never getting bored :D
I'm still playing offline today though, great game imo.
Also, apparently they have free online servers, or at least the code to make your own, which I plan on trying in the near future. http://www.schtserv.com/

That website is awesome, probably going in my favorites lol.

PSO is still a great game, I might try out the private servers soon.

The towers were sickening in very hard or ultimate mode online, we used to leave telepipes on every single floor because when you went up a level you'd usually die a few times from Mericarol one-hit KO beams, Mericarol one-hit KO click-and-explode thing, Delbiters tearing you apart (and I think they could one-hit KO too in the harder levels), Ill Gill teleporting across the room and killing you in one hit... it was kind of funny how the idea of increasing difficulty in PSO was "Give everything Megid". Seabed was always nightmare-inducing too thanks to Sinow Zoa/Zeles (whichever one was the obnoxious blue one that froze you and hit like a truck), but Olga Flow is probably my favorite boss from anything ever.

PSO online was fantastic and the holiday events were always great, I can't figure out how the replay factor went from playing 4-8 basic stages and never getting tired of it for 200 levels to getting bored by level 30 in PSU.

I tried running a private server on my but I forget if we had connection problems with it or something. More than likely I just didn't setup port forwarding right though.

I tried out the private servers a few months ago and it was kind of hard to find an open group to join, due to most groups locking their games. I also could not get used to typing with the GC controller again, it's such a pain in the ass, I don't know how I did it back in the day.

Oh god people still play PSO? I thought anyone who used to play would have been finally burnt out by now.

Keyboard adapters are your friends, also I remember using telepipes for every floor on east/west tower, XD we'd use a moon atomizer/reverser on someone only to die 3 seconds later.

I remember seeing the weird keyboard/controller combination selling for like.. $120-$200? Ridiculous when you can pick up an adaptor and keyboard for maybe $20-30. Typing stuff out with the on-screen keyboard was impossible, before we had adaptors we just used macros and autotranslate, lawlz.

we'd use a moon atomizer/reverser on someone only to die 3 seconds later.
I think we were stuck on one floor for about an hour because it'd be die, raise, die, raise, die, raise, go back to town for more atomizers, die, raise...

Assuming it's still working the software to run a server should be here, I think it'd be fun to toy around with. I'm not sure where to find quests to run on the server though. It looks like it came with a bunch but I'm not sure if it's missing the good ones or not.
