Sorry that I don't have screenshots (didn't know this thread existed until after it happened), but a few days ago, I was doing the PCC BCNM40 with a retarded ninja. A rank 10, level 75 ninja mind you.

First off, he kept asking how many orbs he should bring. After the RDM explaining to him that you can only have one orb at a time since it is rare/ex, he continued to ask until the RDM explained to him what rare/ex was.

Second, he chocobo'd to Ghelsba Outpost from Jeuno.

Third, he traded his orb to the BCNM circle and asked why it was cracked.

Fourth, seeing as I was very impatient at that point as he had to be guided to the BCNM area in the first place, I decided to sacrifice my orb. Right when the pull started, he says 'oops, macros broken'. Went downhill from there.

Fifth, I tell him that I'm booting him as soon as I'm alive and that he has no fucking clue how to play FFXI. He home pointed and logged out for the night.

Sixth, when I went to the BCNM the next day with a fresh orb, I got the chram!
