you have full access though from the start... unless they further expand portals (which they did leave room for in the main area) which can only be used near the end of ToAU...Originally Posted by BRP

The missions basically say so
Oh yeah SPOILERS ABOVE
Not necessarily. The missions only mention the tear in Hazlam leading to the underworld. For all we know Einherjar might be the only thing we get in Hazlam since Odin's Chamber might be(probably?) where the tear is.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
I found it funny that there was a huge drawn out cutscene in Hazlam that only had a few key NPCs in it; I'm wondering how we(the adventurer) got all the way down there without getting slaughtered by all the mobs that are there in Einherjar.
Simple! Flit teleported you all down thereOriginally Posted by Auspice
Using einherjar materials to make BLU/PUP/COR Relic seems to make the most sense storywise, and probably would make it fair that people only get a shot of it once every 3 days. Too bad einherjar is broken content and SE thinks that wasting 36 peoples time with randomized monster layouts that drop nothing unless you win is an alternative to dynamis....
But yeah, if its not in dynamis its totally not fair.At least dynamis is figured out...
Where exactly is this "underground" suppose to take place? Is SE going to recycle Einherjar rooms?
In my opinion, Ruins is Sea/Sky. Instead of pop item NMs and gods/jailers, we got Salvage.
Actually being able to GO to the underworld would be nice \:D/ instead of hearing all this crap about it and the closest we get to it is odin shitting out some skeles and dark elementals and whatever else he feels like throwing our way....
One Zone, recycle some monsters with pallete swaps and throw some poppable NMs in there that drop decent shit (hell, recycle abjs) with the Odin music and that'd suffice.
We won't really know until they've added the last battlefield event or NM collection for ToAU, so until then it's all speculation.
As for BLU/COR/PUPs being in the Great War, perhaps they can make up a story about adventurers of the time having travelled abroad and learning new jobs. Then later, when they were back in the Middle Lands and participating in the Great War, they went to their mog houses and changed to BLU/COR/PUP as adventurers are wont to do, and this is how the near eastern jobs ended up in Dynamis.
You see, they've always dropped them, it's just that we thought they were junk and never bothered to pick them up before... (It's sounds dumb enough to be plausible.)Originally Posted by Jyakku
sounds like a typical SE explanation.... our mere adventurer eyes were never able to pick them up, BUT with this uber key item you can! @.@
SE can do anything. For example: They give us a little story on POL on how a BLU, COR, and PUP get lost in Dynamis(sounds like a set up for a joke). Then their armor is there, or whatever.
That was partially what I meant by being "screwed over".Originally Posted by ThistleChaser
I was, of course, secretly pleased. Goddamn blue mages.
There are several useless spots in the ruins. I keep suggesting Garrison-style (need to be on a certain mission or higher and only people with you that meet the same requirements can participate) NM popping.Originally Posted by BRP
Also, they could make a "Life in Vana'diel" story that tells of brave people from the Near East that wanted to help out the Middle Lands, or maybe spies.
EDIT: Also, other than the Chocobo Circuit and the Colosseum, there are no more areas left, but I do feel there is more potential for Assault and Salvage areas, especially Nyzul Isle.
Been a while since I remember the early storyline but weren't the Corsairs disliked by the royal court? If Blue Mages were the Immortals then why would they cooperate with Corsairs to assist in the War (if that were the case). Same deal with the Puppetmasters, they were mostly just entertainment. Of course, I suppose any trip that far away can make one bored...
Infinity Cores
Giant Heads
etc, etc.
Trade 50 Gajillion of them to X NPC in Lag-gate, plus some synth materials.
SE: "You wanted it tied into Dynamis, didn't you?"
The new expantion is supposed to be sending us back in time to interact in past events. This could include the Great War. So technically Treasures jobs could be a part of the Great War... just after some time travel.
3 toau jobs, 3 main western nations... coincidence?
ie, one of each job helped out one of the 3 western nations during the crystal war, and thus thats why you find their armor in dynamis.
Obviously with the introduction of WotG, we travell to Beaucedine, where we find out the lost Hydra Special Unit were actually we, and the armor and money dropped is actually from ourselves. And since we have BLU, COR and PUP now that we bring to the past, it will now start dropping COR, PUP and BLU AF2...
or maybe not
