Some Supercard questions

I know there's an older thread on this, but it's fallen quite far, and I don't want to necrobump.

Anyways, I ordered one of the new Supercards for the DS, and it should be here this monday. I got a 1GB card to go with it as well.
Is there anything I need to watch out for, like common problems or roms that don't work?
Also, is there a limit to how much I can put on the 1GB card, aside from the obvious space restriction? It seems like I could fit literally 50 or so games on there if the only limit is space...

With my R4 + 1gb microsd I can fit about 20~ games, with them trimmed. But, it depends what games you put on there. Some games are really big.

getting the newest firmware for your card will be your top priority when your device arrives.

My card worked for a little while, now I just keep getting "Unknown SD Format! Please turn off NDS!" I've reformatted like 10 times to FAT, no go. Any idea whats up?

try fat32? could be your firmware malfunctioning. Can the card be read on normal card reader?
worst case is the the contact between your card and your sc is lose. Worst come to worst your sc is a gonner

Card works perfectly fine in two different readers, so I don't think it has a problem.

For some reason my supercard says its Version 1.00 when I run the diagnostics, even though I upgraded its firmware. It also gives me SD Error 0004 on that screen. I'd update the firmware if it could actually recognize my SD card....going to buy another SD after work I guess

I got a new SD card, tried both formats, still no go.
How can I tell if the connectors are bad or dirty, and how can I fix it?

It's amazing you're having so much trouble with it... mine was practically a plug and play type of situation.

Not really, their forums are actually littered with these problems, and their responses are always "Get a new one". Should have gotten a better product, oh well

The product works perfectly fine for me and anyone I know who has it (mainly Po and some other people I referred to it who said it works fine for them.)

It's probably the card you bought, since I heard stories that the wrong card can just simply not work with SC all that well.

Two different SD cards, one SanDisk and one Kingston, both card models are on the approved cards list on the Supercard website.

remove the screws on the cart and see what you can do with it.
