Let's bring back an old trend: Camp in Search Message

This was brought up in the ye olde ffxi thread. I agreed, and I think a thread should be made for it.

Back in the day... especially in sky, leaders used to put where they were camped at in their search message. For example: you would do /sea Ru'Avitau and look at the party leaders' messages and see stuff like "Ulli", "Main entrance", "Nexus", ect.

With the overcampage of ToAU, this might be able to help just a little. Some people would still be dicks as they are dicks now and bring their no BRD parties to Nyzul camp, but still, not everyone is and not everyone wants to even deal with going to an occupied camp.

So I say... bring it back! WHO'S WITH ME?!?!?!?

douchebags will still invite random friends to come PT with them when there are 6blms at puddings already, the last 2 coming in as a JP duo who dont understand "GTFO go to wamoura prince"

i was telling the LS one day, as some guy comes to an overcrowded pudding camp and starts pulling...

(the scenario)

*im finishing resting mp from the last pull (on chain3)
*guy buffs and runs out
*i put on my gaiters and run out
*he runs to the only pudding up and starts casting a tier IV
*i run to the same mob, stun/grav/kill
*guy /tells me "wtf"
*nirokun /tells "dont come to an overcrowded camp and expect to get pulls"
*guy /tells "dont you know? i live here"

the guy was batshit crazy... "i live here" wtf

people will still come squat on your camp, its your duty to ruin their exp till they leave or till you get however much you intended to get for the day and decide to afk in front of your moogle

Hmmm, the retarded "ITS MY 13 DOLLARS A MONTH" players don't generally read BG, but if we can get BG people to start doing it... it might be the beginning of a good thing. People will mimic the cool cats at BG and maybe they'll make a thread on Alla... at some point, if the trend gets popular enough, only retarded people ignore it.

I've never stopped doing it, people just don't read, don't care, don't check and come anyways. Then they just sit there and claim like 1-2 mobs every so often as your 20k an hour party keeps trucking.

My bst and blm always puts camp in seacom when soloing...and fairly nobody cares.

for toau, I don't think it matters. Most people these days think its cool to compete over xp mobs like they're dropping ridillz. See thread below :D

Or decreases the amount of hit points the mobs in Uleguerand Range have.
Increase the amount of mobs in Bibiki bay and Adjust their HP as well.

Or just plainly give better bonuses for signet so people can go to sky, bibiki bay, hell even ro' maeve.

Seconded. Here's hoping the new expansion has a fuckton of camps at 75, so ToAU frees up a bit.

Then again, the new expansion might leave ToAU in the dust, who knows!

People on my server never do this. When you want to figure out whos at an area you have to go there yourself and find out or /tell them. Thats why I said we should bring it back, and others agreed.
