Let's bring back an old trend: Camp in Search Message

It doesnt work simply because not everyone will do it.
You cant do a search of any camp without actually being there in TAU because the numbers can lie easily. Assault groups show up on the same area.
people camping the crappy TAu HNM show up as being in the same zone and I'm damned sure they arent going to announce a TOD or the fact that they're fighitng it in a search comment. There are tons of ways the number of people can get artificially inflated to seem like a camp is overcrowded when noone is even at the merit camp.
Cannon jobs ect going /anon because fucktars keep trying to invite them when they already have a party makes the amount of people lower . Basically the number of people in a zone fluctuates too easily.
The only real way i've found is to send a scout to the camps while i'm searching for the final members or to ask people in those zones.

Or decreases the amount of hit points the mobs in Uleguerand Range have.
Increase the amount of mobs in Bibiki bay and Adjust their HP as well.

Or just plainly give better bonuses for signet so people can go to sky, bibiki bay, hell even ro' maeve.

God forbid you need a good party to get good exp on demons.

I say demons being kinda tough is a good thing. All the tards and lazy dickfaces will go to ToaU areas and us people who put a ton of time and effort into our gear and skills can go to ulle and get uncontested 15-20k/hr.

Honestly, I still put my camp spot in my search comment when I go out to EXP. It doesn't help one bit. I still get assfaces that come and camp on top of me and act like dicks by ruining the camp.

I do this even when I'm not the PT leader. I still always notice at a PT comes by, or at least someone scouting the area.

I'd like to see the return of camp location in seacomm. I don't think it will really stop parties from overcamping in ToAU areas, though. Exp's generally better and camps are a lot easier to get to. I think the dude talking about fiddling with an exp bonus for Signet is on to something.

I've never seen party leaders do this, and I wouldn't really expect them to, but it is irritating when it comes to solo camps for bst, blu, and I would imagine blm. Not so much the lack of a message, but people on anon. Gearing up to level bst, /seaing the area, getting to camp, only to realize some anon clowns are taking up the camp is quite frustrating.

nothing pisses me off more than people xping while anon. if i see people getting owned while xping, i'll stop to help them out, but if they're anon i just stand there and watch them die.
i can understand using /anon when you are xping on whm in a low level (25-50) area, like qufim or jungles, where you get random tells for a raise if you arent anon, but other than that its one of the most asinine features in the game.

Even better than that is when party leaders are /anon so when you search a region for level N party leaders you don't see them and assume there is room for your party.

As a nice extension to this, you could also add the time you arrived at the camp or plan on ending so other people could see if there was a space opening up soon. Only problem I see with that is if your spot is going to open up soon 2 or more PTs could head there only to add to the very problem they were hoping to avoid.

search comments are very helpfull. Some people on Phoenix do it, but a vast majority do not.

Though /tell to ask where their camps are can have merit. One time last month the leader was kind enough to say "Oh we are at middle camp of greater colibri, we are leaving in about 30 min for an event if you want the camp"

Though often I get this situation....
tell: "{excuse me} where is your {camp} {position}?"
reply: "wut y"

why else would a party leader want to know where your party is located... /sigh

Then again I find it easy to just respond with "<pos>"

I've been doing shit like this and the OP for the longest time now. So far it hasn't done me any good yet(that I know of) but I'm all for doing it. Like someone said, we can hope that eventually it'll catch on.I couldn't even count how many times i have Nyzul Isle Mamool Camp in my search comment only for parties to camp on us.

I do that generally but no one really seems to give a crap about it :/ Heck, I bet they don't even understand.

I am one of those odd people who enjoys a camp that requires a little more mental commitment than just WSing at 100% TP. I am being slightly facetious, of course, as I acknowledge that EXPing is *slightly* more nuanced that just WSing every 100% TP. There are things to consider beyond just "turning around."

20k+/hour has its own allure to pragmatists, but I'm not one of those; and most people who do not merit incessantly do not do so either because their threshold for mouth breathers within close proximity is low or they simply don't enjoy the monotony of it. With places like Uleguerand Range, the EXP is not quite as lucrative as Mamool/Colibri, but the mental engagement in itself makes it worth the hike and and EXP/hr difference for me. If you don't turn as you WS or recast :ichi, you will die. If your mages do not keep melee hasted (loldemonichowl) your EXP/hr will take a significant hit. If you do not silence Eyes and BLM demons, you will eventually have to med and slow down EXP. I guess this makes me old fashioned and this tirade closely resembles a $13/month rant, but I like seeing RDMs do something other than cure/haste/refresh.

More often than not, if I am shrewd enough to trick LS members into EXPing at Uleguerand with me, they tend to enjoy it.
