Increase the amount of mobs in Bibiki bay and Adjust their HP as well.

Or just plainly give better bonuses for signet so people can go to sky, bibiki bay, hell even ro' maeve.

God forbid you need a good party to get good exp on demons.

I say demons being kinda tough is a good thing. All the tards and lazy dickfaces will go to ToaU areas and us people who put a ton of time and effort into our gear and skills can go to ulle and get uncontested 15-20k/hr.

I am one of those odd people who enjoys a camp that requires a little more mental commitment than just WSing at 100% TP. I am being slightly facetious, of course, as I acknowledge that EXPing is *slightly* more nuanced that just WSing every 100% TP. There are things to consider beyond just "turning around."

20k+/hour has its own allure to pragmatists, but I'm not one of those; and most people who do not merit incessantly do not do so either because their threshold for mouth breathers within close proximity is low or they simply don't enjoy the monotony of it. With places like Uleguerand Range, the EXP is not quite as lucrative as Mamool/Colibri, but the mental engagement in itself makes it worth the hike and and EXP/hr difference for me. If you don't turn as you WS or recast :ichi, you will die. If your mages do not keep melee hasted (loldemonichowl) your EXP/hr will take a significant hit. If you do not silence Eyes and BLM demons, you will eventually have to med and slow down EXP. I guess this makes me old fashioned and this tirade closely resembles a $13/month rant, but I like seeing RDMs do something other than cure/haste/refresh.

More often than not, if I am shrewd enough to trick LS members into EXPing at Uleguerand with me, they tend to enjoy it.

i also still ask pt leaders where they are at and when the question hits they have no clue wtf i'm talking about so i have to explain it. In ToAU areas its just worth it to /sea the area and take a little run to see if its overcamped first hand. Takes 5 minutes max.

Not everyone here has single-handedly defeated the evil machinations of the CoP team in order to develop a liking for Uleguerand Range.

But damn, that was one hell of a night.

i can understand using /anon when you are xping on whm in a low level (25-50) area, like qufim or jungles, where you get random tells for a raise if you arent anon, but other than that its one of the most asinine features in the game.

Let me translate that: "I have never level BRD or RDM to a significantly high level."

If you do not silence Eyes and BLM demons, you will eventually have to med and slow down EXP.

Unless something has changed recently, Ahriman are pretty much immune to silence from the White Magic spell.

Any NIN worth their salt will be holding the mob's attention initially and a good deal of the time after WS. My parties have varied; MNKs, WARs (Ridills and otherwise), other NINs, etc. Most of whom are LS mates. I've never done a pickup group in Uleguerand because the zone tends to be unforgiving.

I don't use my THF in Uleguerand typically. Ironically enough, the only time I like using THF is in ToAU EXP camps. Even then I typically like having two BRDs so that I can live in my faux-Ridill WAR fantasy land on THF with my mighty 223 skill.

That aside, the premise of liking Uleguerand Range EXP is that everyone has to put forth a little more effort. The reason it is refreshing (no pun) to see RDMs transcend their normal EXP duties is because RDM is supposed to be crowd control and mob subduers. Uleguerand is perfect for that - with the exception of silencing Ahrimans. I clearly made that up amidst the description of my unrelenting fervor for the zone. I guess it's not leaps and bounds more intricate than the next EXP camp but the EXP/hr is worthwhile in my book and the pace and attentiveness required so that you are not overcome by adds is enough to hold my interest.

I'm still not sure why you would not consider NIN and THF good DDs, however. I guess I missed something. My two jobs tend to fare decently well against most other jobs. I guess I missed the memo where Volken proclaimed they were now obscure. D:

I didn't say they weren't decent in exp, you named having to turn around for mortal ray as some little "thrill" for you, while the other members in your party are the ones having to do it. Your NIN and THF aren't going to be grabbing hate very often with good MNKs and WARs, and especially not by the time the mob gets TP from your party beatng on it. So again, you just like watching people do more work? I just don't get it.

Edit: am I coming off rudely? I blame it on being a career rdm that's completely burnt out from 3.5 hour dynamis refresh and haste cycles. Your post set off my disgruntled rdm alarms :/

I didn't say they weren't decent in exp, you named having to turn around for mortal ray as some little "thrill" for you, while the other members in your party are the ones having to do it. I'm not going to engage in a dispute of my experiences versus yours. If you don't believe that a NIN can pull hate at inopportune times and have to turn away from Mortal Ray on a regular basis then that is perfectly fine. Our experiences at the camp have surely varied.

I already explained the allure of the camp. If I take a party of LS members to the camp, and we all enjoy it, where is the qualm? Some people enjoy the broader scope of responsibility that Uleguerand Range entails - some people enjoy the security of mobs that do not link or perform devastating TP moves. I'm personally a fan of the former. I don't arbitrarily EXP at Uleguerand every time to prove a point, but I do go there when I search the more popular locations and see them completely packed.

I dont know if most people remember this, but back in the day camps sucked too. lol this has ALWAYS been an issue with ffxi. at least now it's not as big of a hassle to turn around and choose another camp. with sky it took forever to get there. SQEN did increase the amount of camps with each expansion. the issue is they made the new camps too alluring and outdated old camps.

today I was in nyzul, and I remembered all the times I had rdm brd rng rng rng rng/nin. I miss those parties. pre rng nerf of course.

So a friend invited me to a burn party on greater birds. 2 bards, a rdm and 3 wars.

I ended up w/ leader b/c he d/c'd by the time we got to camp. So I tossed up where we were along w/ our set figureing if that didnt scare them off the lack of monsters on the lowest level would.

And that is what lead me from red to the path of purple. Dynamis has changed from a horrible 3.5 hour slog through hell to a 3.5 hour romp filled with huge rampages and the resulting trips to the floor of victory. Hell, I even leveled a second character WHM so I could help alleviate the suffering of the other mages in Dynamis while having my good time. :D
