Aye, I'd never noticed that one. Assuming it works like Breath/High Breath Mantles, it's pretty awesome.Originally Posted by Septimus

I used Electrum Hairpin > Raven Beret cuz Beret's are fucking pwn until Vermy/Chapeau.
I made a lot of parties when I levelled RDM, so I generally didn't bother taking WHMs hence why I was wearing -enmity.
This is the correct answer.Originally Posted by Shuemue

Cheers people, thanks for the assist with the Hairpin (may have a look at how much it costs and factor them in. It's just really annoying that we don't get the Seer's Set yet Puppetmaster does! Dam you Developers!
Most of the MP I'm getting is from the Electrum ring and the Mohbwa Sash+1 which are both too useful just to keep switching them around.
So take it the Elements don't have too much effect on enfeebling resist rates?
Anyway Bastok are Second in my server so its time to get windy fame (If your on Garuda you will know that Bastok are 9 times out of 10 bottom)
Elements are only used for when spells are casted ON you, not by you.
Rather funny that you'd put on a hairpin that does nothing but cost you MP. I guess people really don't think about their gear at all...Originally Posted by Zosi

It loses you 15 MP every 10 minutes when you Convert. It gains you 25 max MP when you're resting between pulls. It's cheap, simple, usable on other mage jobs (particularly for level cap events), and given that the gap between HP and MP tends to increase slightly between levels, you might even be able to get your precious and sacred 1:1 ratio with it on in a level or two. Just because I don't agree with you or value the exact same things doesn't mean I don't think about my gear.Originally Posted by Ambir
In this case, it actually works out that I'm right, by some miracle. The OP says he's using an Electrum for MP, which makes sense because Taru RDMs aren't 1:1 HP/MP naturally. Assuming he doesn't want to splurge on a non-resellable and possibly rare enchantment hairpin, he could ditch the Electrum and macro in +3 stat rings for the appropriate spells for that ring slot. It'd actually result in slightly more of both HP and MP and the same +3 INT/MND bonuses as the enchantment hairpin, and significantly better stats than using the Bastokan cap or Traveler's Hat. If he wanted to blow his precious 1:1 ratio by a few points and had some cash to throw around, he could use the enchantment hairpin AND stat rings, but we've already ruled out messing with the ratio as taboo.
