You think Super Puzzle Fighter and FF7 can git on 2gig SD card? That'd be fucking ill if they did.

No soldering, you actually install a firmware onto it from the memory cards... I can help you with it over AIM or something when you get it, it's pretty damn easy.

You would probably need a couple of 4gig SD cards if you want PS games + PSP games on it (you can download them at that point as well, so it's pretty fucking awesome for the very few games that are worth playing)... each FF7 cd (compressed fully via the program) comes out to be around 450-500(same applies to all FF cds), so a 2gig by itself can hold an FF but that's about it... actually, 1 psp game (if it's not too big) + the 3 ff7 cds could possbily fit into the 2gig, i'll look into it for ya.

But yeah, I don't think anyone thinks of the PSP as actually buying it and buying games for it like for the DS (even though I have a supercard, so yeah... >.>) but rather as a modded psx portable/psp downloadable console.

And btw, playing psx games on it is legal, their firmware just doesn't support all games, but rather the games they feel like putting up on the ps3 store for you which is gay and stupid, which is why dark alex released a custom firmware that is based on sony's firmwares, but puts it at the lowest security possible, letting you play anything you wish to play on it (because the psp can't tell the difference, the files are the same type and there isn't any security now to stop it from being breached, letting you play any psx titles you want.)

The PSP is pretty strong, so it can play virtually every single PSX titles (it lags in some mainly because the firmware still has problems adjusting itself since it wasn't programmed to play FF8 per say, but there are ways to get around it, I play FF8 just fine.)

I'm not missing much from 360 apparently since all the titles I care about are getting ported over to PC anyway. Gears of War, Lost Planet, Unreal Tournament, and you know Halo 3 will go over to it after a few years.

They vary a LOT... FF1 is like 180 megs for example (and OWNS, the work they did to enhance the graphics is just amazing, I really love the way it looks even though they didn't really change anything, but the picture looks extremely sharp and crisp that you'd really like it, especially on the PSP widescreen)... MGS is like close to 1gig I think (unripped).

I just bought 2 4gig sd cards and I switch stuff in and out from my laptop whenever I want to put something on/remove it, and keep the file the way it is for when I want to move it back to the psp (i don't remove the saves from the cards since they barely take any place, I just make sure I'm putting the game back into the correct card when I return it.)





And PS2 upscaling is pretty good on the PS3, there were quite a few pictures on it in the console wars thread that's stickied at the top, you should go back 10 pages or so and check it out.

Personally, I like arguing videogame politics because it helps the time pass lol. If someone came up to me and asked whether or not I think they should buy a system, I ask them what they want it for and then tell them my opinion.
