Again, I don't think this shit can heal heart problems or any real major body problems. This is just mental stuff, coping with stress which can prevent serious disease etc etc. The article goes into it, decide for yourself.
Ya man, the world is saturated with this kind of belief. For me, it was best described by Gregg Braden, in a film he made, awakening to zero point. .. it's available on google video, and it's like 6 hours long. I wouldn't take anything he says seriously, but it's very interesting stuff anyway.

There are many other videos, similar in nature, mostly talk about Tesla zero point energy and/or quantum physics.

If I honestly believed that if I acted in accordance to God's wishes, I would be granted a place in his kingdom for eternity...

...I mean, it's just fucking logic. Do what he wants, you only have 80 years on this planet - an eternity is a long time.

Sometimes the crazier the religious person is, the more it makes sense to me. If you really believe, don't fuck around - why risk Hell?

Of course, this has nothing to do with Scientology, since none of that makes sense to me.

I still don't understand the difference between someone believing that a galactic emporer trapped a billion souls into a volcano with atomic bombs is any different from someone who believes in three gods are one god and demons and angels and fire and brimstone and kingdoms of heaven and hell.

Scientology is like religion 2.0. It's trying to use "explained science" and "techniques" to expose a "higher spiritual purpose". Fuck all that praying shit nigga we got machines with dials and shit.

    Oh and Scientology is bad.

Lil Cease over here has a crush on me.

Moving on; http://www.clambake.org has all sorts of interesting things about Scientology. It also talks about how L. Ron Hubbard would go to social gatherings and parties in the 50's and talk about how the most profitable business in the US was to run a religion.
I'm not sure if it was mentioned because I didn't bother reading the rest of the thread, but it's well known that L. Ron started Scientology as a bet he made to another author friend of his.

Imagine if L. Ron Hubbard were contemporary with Joseph Smith, Jr. That would have been a good bet from one author friend to another.

Yeah I remember reading that. I don't dispute that being the case, I just also have heard and read he would say things like that about religion being profitable.
