    Stupid printer

ok i went to go print something and out of no where i have no printers installed. when i unplug the printer usb line it acknowledges it being unplugged with a sound and for being plugged in. i even changed my mouse to the port the printer was on and still nothing ( the usb ports are working fine). so i went to HP homepage and tried to redownload driver and after it went to add a printer but yells at me that its not plugged in, meanwhile at the website it was able to detect it was connected and what model.

i try and use the add printer option in the printer section of control panel but it goes, BAMP*Operation could not be completed*

what the hell is wrong with my shit lol, and im not reformatting for the printer.

I had a similar issue with a Lexmark printer that I have. Remove the drivers, go into your registry and remove all keys that are associated with your printer. Download the drivers again and when they prompt you for the drivers, instead of allowing windows to search for them(which I think is the default), specify the driver directory.

Worked for me and like I said I had the same issue with a Lexmark. I could plug it in and it would recognize the printer (via the windows sound) but it wouldn't show the printer in the folder. Hopefully it works for you as well.

Ok so i figured it out.

before you go and delete all your drivers keep this in the back of your head if anyone else has this problem.

Check whether the Print Spooler service is running in the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. If not, start it up. Chances are there will be a few dependencies you need to check and make sure theyre enabled. apparently one of mine got shut off, which in turn shut off the print spooler. just make sure theyre all on and you should be good. right click the service and goto properties to see what dependencies it has
