Cloverfield - name of the anonymous film trailer

I'd be surprised if it has the home-movie aesthetic for it's entire duration. I...wouldn't be surprised though if that aesthetic was just for the trailer, and that nothing we saw was the actual film.

- The running title is "Cloverfield", but this is not the real title. It is meant to be deceptive. It'll be changed before the final version.

- It is not about Godzilla, Gamera, Voltron, Astroboy, or whatever else you guys have come up with. It's about a monster called "The Parasite". That's all that's known.

- The whole movie is filmed on handheld cameras. Think Blair Witch, but cooler.

- It's by J.J. Abrams, creator of LOST. No wonder we don't know what's going on!

I think with all that realism they create with the cinematography they kinda' undid a lot of it by placing it right back into the most overused film setting of New York City. I never really see SF get fucked up by big monsters/aliens/robots/etc. I want to see something blow up the Castro... please.

The man holding the camera in the teaser is T.J Miller. When the teaser was shot, they had no actual footage for the movie. They shot the teaser first. T.J Miller used to co-host regularly on a comedy podcast called Red Bar Radio. He's also in the TV series Carpoolers. imo he's the talent of this movie.

ParasiteMovie.com seems to be the official site. Click on the little ??? at the bottom and you'll get redirected to TossingGames.com, the reason of which is unknown. However, on their forums, in a post made by Steve(Admin) on page 2 of this thread, there are some questions that are answered (sort of).
