Just saw it, and I think that it was fucking great. Enough action, drama, human emotion, "Holy SHIT!!" parts and creepy moments to make any movie worth seeing.

People are going to bitch about the ending, but what more could you really ask for to happen? It seems like something that Shakespeare could have wrote and classified as a tragedy.

Just saw it, and my friend and I were the only people clapping and cheering at the ending. The rest of the theater was a resounding and unanimous "AWWWWWWWW WTF!"

But it was SO fucking good. I am gonna have trouble sleeping tonight. There were parts of that movie I was really terrified, and parts I felt sick, and OMG such a bad ass movie.

how the hell did Beth sprint after having rebar through her chest for like an hour, not to mention the stupid helicopter could have just gone higher and i don't see how they didn't hear it coming up behind them (when Hud got eaten), also...did Marlene explode because of the 'bite' or did the guys in the hazmat suits do it? me and my friends are at odds about it

beth sprinting was stupid, helicopter shoulda flown higher, they DEFF shoulda heard/seen it coming up behind hud...and marlene exploded i think, coz the guy came in on a stretcher with his chest blown before that scene

That said, i give it a 7/10. It was a good monster movie i guess, not living up the all the hype it got...Also, Dramamine is your friend, go invest in a bottle before coming to this movie. I don't motion sick, but everyone in my dorm was like "wtf im gonna puke/im so dizzy/my head is KILLING me"... it was a bit excessive.

Let's put it this way. If there actually was a monster attack, given the style of the movie. That's how it would have happened, so I commend it for that and I thought it was a pretty good movie. Did I think it lived up to all the hype it got? Most definitely not... but it was good nonetheless. A lot of people don't like it because they're stupid and have no appreciation of the style of the movie and just wanted to see it end the same way all monster movies end.

overall I give it a 8/10

horrible horrible movie, want my money back for it. made me sick to my stomach watching the thing with all the camera jerking around. the characters were ok but i really wish they would have filmed it in a regular matter and given other points of view on it as well, then it would have been a much better movie.

That was the whole point of the movie, the survival story of a few people; and a guy who says in the beginning of the movie he's an amateur with the camera anyway. The last thing I would worry about if I was in there situation would be am I moving my camera too much.

doesnt matter if thats the whole point, you could still film it following their whole story from an outside camera. it didnt need the shitty ass documentary style filming.

Just got home from seeing it, been pumped for it since I saw the trailer before Transformers. All I can say about it right now is

FUCK

I'm not going to kid myself into believing I'll get any sleep over the next week.

Overall, a 9/10. Would be 10/10 if they had done the camerawork differently (I don't mind the documentary style filming, but there were parts where it seemed like they were just flailing the camera about for no reason)

i really dont get why people wont sleep, it wasnt scary at all, nothing in there to lose sleep over, i went through the movie expecting some moments like that and didnt see a single one =/

Just got back, thought it was so sick. First couple times the monster starts attacking really had me glued to the screen. Suspenseful as hell. At first I thought I was going to hate it the way the camera was but I quickly got used to it.


Man, that subway scene was so insane. When he turned that night vision on I literally said "OHHH shit". lol

It showed something dropping into the ocean, a month before the event. So obviously it had some sort of nesting period before it attacked.
