then your gums are small... or maybe it's just bad genetics heh, 3 of my wisdom teeth grew out perfectly, last one is taking a while but it looks fine too from the xrays.

i have no wisdom teeth, my dentist says i'm the next stage of evolution.![]()
Tell him no one likes suck ups.
I've had a huge number of teeth pulled, because I have a small mouth or not enough gums or something. The average adult has like, 28-32 teeth in their mouth. I have 24, and I'm not missing any. There are no gaps in my teeth. Surprisingly, for all the dental work that I've had done, I haven't had any serious problems (knock on wood). I had 4 of my permanent teeth pulled when I was about 9 to make room for the rest of my teeth, and then had braces to correct the problems caused by crowding. The braces came off when I was 13 or 14. I don't think I ever had them in high school. My teeth have shifted a little bit since the braces came off, though, so I was considering having invisalign in my senior year of high school. My dentist said the problem wasn't severe enough that he would recommend that course of action.
Since then, I've only had 4 wisdom teeth pulled when I was almost 18. I get a cavity every now and then, but no sensationally horrible stories.
I bet you give great headOriginally Posted by Ivve
I'd at LEAST demand free implants for the tooth that needed to be pulled and the tooth that didn't need to be pulled but did.
Had surgery (sleep and everything) on the 3rd of this month and got my 4 wisdom teeth taken out at the same time.
They gave me vicodin for the pain. It's been a week already and my lower right lip is still paralyzed and I can't feel shit there
Doc said it's normal. Hopefully it's not perm. Anyone had this happend to them?
i would cringe if that happened to me... period... even if they said it was temporary... i play trumpet.. i cant even fathom not being able to >.> lolOriginally Posted by Zigma
ps im getting my wisdom teeth removed this xmas -_-;
My wisdom teeth was close to the nerve.Originally Posted by Vandole
Yeah it's definitely normal. My dentist told me that The duration for the numbness to wear off it different for different people. It could range from a few weeks to months or even years (worst case scenario). I had my wisdom tooth remove too and all of them were close to the nerve but I think i should be lucky to only have the numbness to last for a short period after the operation.Originally Posted by Zigma
After my back surgery, my upper back (around the shoulder blades mostly) was tinglish to no feeling at all for the first 3-4 months, after that it gradually started coming back to normal and today 2 years later everything feels fine again.
I guess it all depends.. this shit takes time.
didnt read all of this but have a semi not so similar story.....
had a tooth that needed to be pulled because it was a baby tooth but also had a tooth that was coming out at the same time (loose and what not) so they pulled both teeth.... well the one that was loose wasnt ready to "come" out so the tooth underneath it turned 180 and i now have a tooth thats turned around in my mouth! fun stuff right? they told me to fix it id need braces for like two years to get it fixed and the rest of my teeth are perfectly straight :D! yay for retarded dentists!
Save some cash, then pull it and get an implant.![]()
lol i dont really care only bad thing that really happens is that food sometimes gets stuck there but its not that bad i actually think id go nuts if it got fixed now because im so used to it now
Well that depends, which tooth is it?
If you don't see it when you smile, then it's meh... but if it's one of the front 6 (on either side) then you might want to take care of it if it looks weird...
naw it its one of my ones before the moalers or whatever you call them so i dont look fucked up
Ahh then whatever heh.
