What's with the "HD" suffixes to some PS3 titles?

I thought HD was supposed to be standard with the PS3. >.>

Even if it's standard, it draws in some folks just by having that HD tag on it. Like GBA games with the "ADVANCE" part on the end. Doesn't mean anything
