dude, gtfo lol. I'm not trying to take anything away from star wars, you're hating on Halo for absolutely no good reason.Originally Posted by Larsa

Gamespot going over Starcraft 2, Fracture(just finished), and now Kane and Lynch
You could also also say its the best version of one of the best games of all time.Originally Posted by Exoduso
You could also actually LOOK at the game library before saying stupid shit like that.
You're missing out on an excellent game if you have never played it. Doing yourself a real dis-service. I'm not even interested in that zapper. What is the difference in what you're using anyway? The Wiimote works as a zapper for fucks sake.Originally Posted by Exoduso
Don't forget Super Paper Mario too.
I did forget SPM, but other than the other 3 games I mentioned the Wii has nothing appealing outside of a million party games (of which I only find SMB worth buying, the others are rentals at best.)Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
Have YOU looked at the game library? It's just as bad as the PS3, except Wii launched with a bang with Zelda (which was just a mirrored version of a GC game they were going to release anyways, it's like if Sony put FF12 on the PS3.)
What do you mean no good reason? I played both games and I don't think the story was anything amazing or interesting at all. It's an opinion from someone who has overplayed these games.Originally Posted by Deejay

I'm not comparing systems, that's a pointless exercise. I'm just showing that if you want to have fun on your Wii you damn well can.
Don't follow the trends much, do you? Obviousness isn't so obvious I guess.Originally Posted by Deejay
Anyways the point was that comparing Halo's story to Star Wars is like comparing flying a kite to flying a space shuttle. I played the hell out of Halo1, never got into 2 because I think it sucked hardcore... Seriously though, maybe they should have compared it to.. uh.. The Little Mermaid? Would fit with there conference theme.
The only game that could even hope to stand on it's feet in a comparison with Star Wars is Zelda, and I'm not even a Nintendrone -.-
those titles appeal to the regular gamers how exactly?
I found SSX Blur to be a good rental at best, never even heard of mercury, not interested in golf, and marvel seems to only be fun on the 360. (I tried the wii version, the controllers were retarded.)
It's just my opinion and i'm entitled to it just as much as you are to yours..
Carbon on wii is a great rental
Well...I wanted to fit more titles, but this was the max I could do (I had about 7 more before I remembered the 400 character limit). Shut up about the lack of things, or the million party games and nothing else, maybe? Please? I'm sure it won't stop a lot of people, but you're acting like it's 2006 still.I'll prolly hyperlink most of them tonight if I'm bored enough.
If you didn't like it then you could simply say you didn't like it, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Your opinion of the game doesn't automatically mean that it's shit, because in the eyes of 10 million+ others... it wasn't lol.Originally Posted by Larsa
It's like me comming here and saying "omg fuck MGS, the gameplay is shit." When we all know damn-well that's not true.
They appeal to regular gamers because there is no such thing as a 'regular gamer'. There are people of varied interests in gaming.Originally Posted by Exoduso
I've had more than enough of people saying stupid shit like theres nothing but party games on the Wii. It doesn't overfocus in one area but it does have quality titles for many different interests, so saying theres nothing is just stupid.
Half these games are rentals at best, sorry..
Same goes to both your comments... I don't see myself putting 50 bucks on these games... maybe it's because I'm not buying everything that moves anymore, but that's just me.
I'm tired of buying a bunch of games that I end up not playing/returning for half their price.

Quoted for epic truth. I don't like Halo, but I'll never say it was a sucky game...

I didn't say my opinion was absolute and all seeing. You really need to just accept that people feel this way towards some games. I do know people who have said that about MGS, Halo, FF, and many other games. It's just their loss. I think the Halo series' story blows dogs for quarters to dare compare it to Star Wars, get over it. Why the hell do you care so much what I think? lol
I never said it's gameplay was a piece of shit btw. I do enjoy playing a few rounds online now and then or just with my buddies. I'm just not buying this comparison.
I'm not gonna sit here and say that you're wrong for making that comparison because I don't know enough about star wars to do so. I fell asleep in 2 of the more recent movies and I was too young to apreciate the older ones.Originally Posted by Enkidu
However, my point was that halo's story/universe is right up there with all the other great video game worlds... It might not be as epic as say Star Wars, but it was pretty gewd. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Rentals at best for you might be 100+ hour games for other people, so don't make stupid blanket statements, show some class.
I know somebody who's logged that much time into SSX Blur.

I'll honestly bet that the majority of people who will outright snub these games just won't look at them at all, or give them a chance, but that's not my problem. I made my point, there are games out there, and more are coming. This is a VERY small, VERY random game list. I couldn't even fit in some of my other favorites, like the new Trauma Center, or DQS, or FF:CC, but I tried to fit in at least a few never-heard-ofs among the must-haves most already know about.
Wild Arms 5 looks awwwwright
