I didn't say my opinion was absolute and all seeing. You really need to just accept that people feel this way towards some games. I do know people who have said that about MGS, Halo, FF, and many other games. It's just their loss. I think the Halo series story blows dogs for quarters, get over it. It's not STUPID of me to say that a game like SSX BLUR, which isn't nearly as good as the other SSX games were, is a good rental game. Yes, some people will put 100+ hours into Rayman as well, it doesn't make it a game that each and every single person would play and put that much time on it, let alone pay a full retail price for it.

Everyone's got different tastes though, you got that right... I just don't think I can stand these games for more than a week or two at best, as good as they may be (and I enjoyed SSX, don't get me wrong.)

It's just funny to see how strongly you're standing up for a game that isn't even that big of a hit, just to try and prove a point... what if I just don't like that game that much that I would put 50 bucks on it, when I can rent it at gamefly and return it whenever I want to?

And again i'll say it... everyone's got different tastes, I don't see myself paying 50 bucks for SSX Blur and i'm entitled to it... you can say it's stupid of me to assume that people won't pay 50 bucks for games like these, but the bottom line is that the game isn't exactly a best seller for the Wii, is it?

And I never said the Wii didn't have original titles, it does. It's just that it seems like they're trying to pump more and more party games into the market each month, and I personally got a little fed up with it and decided to take a break from the system until it had some more games to offer.




EDIT: Hell look what it got turned into, I don't even care about SSX that much lol... if you like it, good for you. I rented it for 2 weeks, enjoyed it greatly, then decided to send it back instead of pay for it because I figured I wasn't going to play it for much more anyways and then it would just sit there for a year before I decided to sell it for 15 bucks at gamestop.

Of course they will, they sell, lol. That's like me complaining about MS pumping out FPS. I'm just saying that they are also pumping out other games. If they aren't worth your time, I'll respect that. But...well, I said it already a few times, haha.

I know they do heh, and I respect that from a business standpoint it makes a lot of cash. I just wish that more interesting single player games were coming out (and i'm not talking about your average 3rd party games like SSX, I mean actual strong games that sell a LOT like Fire Emblem should and would..)

Mainly, I wish there were more games that appealed to me personally and the kind of gamer that I am. (and I mostly prefer fps's and rpg's over another mario party game. )

Xbox has the moment the largest lineup of game for every genre, it would be easy to prove such statement wrong.

The 360 isn't mainly that (even though people put that stigma on the console because it does have a lot of shooters), just like the PS2 was said to be composed mainly of RPGs, which isn't exactly true either heh... I just hope that the Wii won't be remembered for a system that was mainly a party game console, and that's what I'm mainly referring to.

And I said it was a good rental game, not just a rental game.. there's a difference, because half the games on all consoles aren't even worth looking at IMO.

And granted, I sold my Wii before RE4 was released and i'm sure it's a good game, but 1 game doesn't necessarily make a difference to a console as a whole right? If this trend continues though (as far as good, big hit single player games are concerned), then nintendo would be on the right track.

I'm just saying there is different level of blanket statement...some are easy to disprove while other are barely blanket statement. I can't say I agree with Exo here, but making an obvious blanket statement doesn't prove anything either. This isn't what Exoduso is doing here..those two are just arguing about what they consider a worthwhile game or not.

I replied to your post because that imitation wasn't accurate, and I thought it was a cheap attack at Exoduso's point. Both of you are arguing about the quality of individual wii game, which is a matter of opinion more than anything. Your example of blanket statement can easily be proved wrong by looking at the lineup, and it's not a valid argument to show he is wrong.

Actually no, I brought up blur specifically as an example of how other people ARE getting good single player hours out of the Wii.
