Actually Maxx was picking on the faulty assertion that "Besides Zelda and Trauma Center, Wii has only party games".
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition?
Super Paper Mario?
Godfather: Blackhand Edition?
Elebits?
SSX Blur?
Metal Slug?

Looks like Wii might get its online...erm....on-line
Never played Blur, nor do I plan to. However, do you think the game is original enough to warrent a place on the "worthwhile" list? I know many people who wasted hundred of hours on previous sports game, but that doesn't make them better or worthwhile in any way. Like you said earlier, it's definitively possible to enjoy your Wii and find games you like, but can you find enough game that have 50$ worth of original content when compared to other games? How many games have topped Resident Evil 4 graphic on the Wii? How many games have decent amount of new content?
There is a few good games already out, and a couple more that look awesome in the making, but I can't say Wii lineup look promising either. It's lacking traditional games where you can see how hard the effort was put by the programmer, developper and artist. Not trying to say the Wii is a bad console, but I believe gamers have the right to expect more from it right now, just like they do for the ps3.
When someone make such statement, I'm usually under the impression he is talking about original and quality content. There is 3 games, out of those 6 that are are remake/new edition of older games. Paper Mario was well done, and should have been included imo (didnt play the other 2 games), but I don't think 1 or 2 games missing was enough to make his statement a blanket statement.Originally Posted by aurik
Anyway, I'm done with this console argument. Didnt really want to get dragged in it
Silent Hill 5 Announced
Everything these days is a remake / new edition of older games. A large portion of X360 titles can be described as fresh graphics, new levels, but essentially Half-Life.Originally Posted by Kaylia
It seems to me that it is no more of a lack than the previous generation's launch. I think people are just expecting a ton more because of how well its selling...
And lol aurik
Why? Shit should die peacecfully along with Resident Evils.Originally Posted by Falconblade
Just so I don't get flamed, I am a huge Resident Evil fan, but I don't like the direction the series has taken. Resident Evil 1 (and the gamecube remake) was scary, or suspenseful if you don't want to say scary, but RE4 was more shoot 'em up and move on, and it looks to be the same case.
As for Silent Hill, 3 and 4, just ugh.
was reading some stuff on gamespot today for E3 (which has prolly already been discussed)
release dates for mario galaxy and brawl!!!! mario cart in the 1st qtr or 08, with a steering wheel control!!! and most importantly, nintendo making a housing to store 2 wiimotes and nunchuks! needless to say my pants have been creamed. mario galaxy in november, brawl in december, cant friggin wait!!!!!
and oh yeah, finally gonna buy RE4 tomorrow, zombies here i come!

I'll be anxiously awaiting Silent Hill 5, and hoping Konami can make me go "holy crap..." at the visuals once again like they did for me with #2 and 3, some of the most realistic human models I've seen in the last generation.
(albeit they animated a bit stiffly)
RE1...Fucking reminding me of that scene where the dogs jumped in through the window and shit at the start. Errghhh, was scary as all shit.
If I pay 50$ for a game, I expect more than a "ctrl+c, ctrl+v" with a few bonus element. Fresh graphic and new levels is enough for me to see there was some work done on the game, assuming the gameplay element didnt change much because of the genre.Everything these days is a remake / new edition of older games. Maybe you are right, but 9 months was plenty of time for them to announce something big. If nothing new was announced at E3 this years, it usually mean we won't see anything for a whole year, and possibly more.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
I didnt pay much attention, but is mario kart the only big announcement nintendo made?
That and Wiir2lazytogo2thegym.
That and the release date for Brawl, that's it for noteworthy info.Originally Posted by Kaylia

the Wii Fi6 board, if it does take off, could become great. If it can tell where you're leaning and such, and if your standing on it with Wiimote/Nunchuck, couldn't you be able to use your entire body as a controller? Like in those arcade shooters, where to duck in game you had to duck in real life, and reload by putting gun low.
and i was discussing with my brother today how metroid would destroy halo if it had online, karma is a bitchOriginally Posted by Insanelol
