rented it once, wasn't a bad game. Was great graphically, but it certainly wasn't the steamroller it's turned into nowadays.

I'm confused why this game is such a streamroller...considering we haven't even played it yet.

After watching the trailer again, I don't really get what the big deal is... it just looks like a simple FPS... surely, it's getting more hype than it's worth?

Every FPS being made now are just the same no matter how you look at it but the ones I'll only buy is HL2:ep2/portal/TF2 and Crysis(sp?)

Its still Killzone.

I just don't trust trailers tbh, hands-on only.

Yeah, but it did show some gameplay footage that seemed rather boring...

If no new gameplay will be shown until its release i'll probably gamefly it and give it a shot, but yeah.. kind of disappointed, seeing how they kept it for last..

I played it. Wasnt bad for being like 4 years old I think? The story is what really is good about it. That why I kind of like it.

not a bad game worth a rent or a bargain bin buy.

It looks like a souped up version of F.E.A.R. or Black. SOCOM is the only shooter worth worrying about on the playstation. The next one isn't being made by the same studio who made the originals, but the one after that (Socom 4) will be a hit without a doubt.

There is shit to like on the PS3 but killzone 2 shows a lot of what's wrong with gaming hype atm.

I just noticed this thread, so excuse me if this has been brought up before, but all this new info about RockBand has me seriously pumped. I haven't gotten into Guitar Hero or anything like it, aside from DrumMania arcade machines, but this is looking like a must have.

Your post is so refreshing, it's nice how you refuted why KZ2 isn't just another FPS and explained why KZ2 is a must buy instead of making comments that don't contribute anything! Thank you BRP, day 1 purchase for me!

The same can be said for everything Nintendo has announced at E3. Aside from a fitness game, everything else is just a rehash of old games, what's so special about that? Personally I was done with SSB after playing the hell out of the original... It's just not fresh anymore. Same with Mario. After Mario64, what's the point? There's simply no reason to continue playing the same storylines over and over. To me it's just about the same as Madden roster updates.

If you want to question people hyping a game they want to play, maybe you should question yourself hyping games you want to play.
