Um, ? Do you, not like Final Fantasy? This looks like it could have been FF13 lol. I'm more excited for this game than Blue Dragon.
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21475.html Video if anyone hasn't seen.
The fuck you talking about? Gameplay wise this looks like a normal turn based RPG, that's what I saw fromt he gameplay video. You showed me a trailer that doesn't do anything to make me interested. Sure, it's pretty and looks nice. But is it fun to play? I seriously feel like I'm missing out on something cause based on what I saw the game doesn't deserve the hype.
When I asked my question I was looking for a serious answer, what makes this game stand out from other RPGs? Or is the fact that there's an RPG on the X360 seem to be enough?
Dude, the fact that it's being made by the creator of Final Fantasy should be interesting enough. This isn't a situation like Killzone where they are working from a mediocre original. The creators of this game actually have
a phenomenal track record with RPG's.
If this same trailer was brought to me by a lesser known studio then yes, I'd understand where you were coming from. But why did Sakaguchi leave SE in the first place? Because he didn't like the direction that SE was going with Final Fantasy. Of course he's going to go back to his roots, using a formula that's been working for him for years. Good story, pretty backdrops, interesting main character, big wyrm bosses, good music, etc etc... It's ok to be skeptical, but you're doing it for all the wrong reasons here.
People whine that 360 is only known for its shootan gaems. People whine that there isn't any traditional JRPG's on the system. And when then they arrive, people whine because they're not "different" enough?
