Making a second char to start lvling and want to make It a galka. What do you guys think Is the best looking one. thoughts from all galka players?

I'm freakin' 6' in real life and the hell if I was going to play some shortie cat girl and not own something tall-style.

I always liked going for the height extremes (both short and tall) in online games just for fun. I do have an elvaan F that's as tall as you can make them, buuut it's a mule.

That and most games have really creepy-looking humans for some reason. I guess ffxi's are okay... mostly...

Medium Hume F 3A here. I picked Hume because I got advice from a RL friend that Humes weren't horrible at any job, which appealed to me because ALL of the jobs looked like fun at the time. I don't regret my race at all, but I would've rather been a Hume M 4A instead... being new to MMOs when I started this, I had no idea that picking a female character for aesthetic reasons would make every single person I meet assume that I'm a horny 19-year-old college girl.

I've never really had any problems being hit on. I think most people assume at this point that female character = male player, unless you're playing a particularly ugly female character. It's kind of strange because I can get by completely ignored unless I decide to make a cow or a robot or something, in which case I'm lavished with attention from strangers.

Here is my opinion.

The third model is my favorite model. The 3A model looks very distinguished with the graying hair. (My second character is 3A, my first NPC is face 3B.)

Faces 7 and 8 are tied for second place. (My second character's NPC is face 7A.) Then face 5 for fourth, faces 1, 2, and 4 are tied for fifth.

I really dislike face 6.

But the gray hair pops really well when you wear certain body armors, like Noble's Tunic and Sha'ir Manteel.

My RL fiancee is a elvaan male 2B. I don't know what size he picked though.

We have a fair number of female players. Our elvaan ladies are a MNK, RDM, and DRG.

Haha, Elvaan's in the lead atm. Long-live the long-neck brotherhood!

And, as an aside; I'm always surprised to see that EV F are the rarest of all the race/gender choices. However, with my girlfriend just starting FFXI and doing it mostly because she could play a Taru, she commented how weird the Elvaan female models looked. I think it was the big linebacker shoulders of the EV F models. I think they look quite attractive, but I'm all about the boo-tay so that's the allure for me.
