Incorrect, a blm without /whm sub is fucking garbage, no matter how much dmg he does.Originally Posted by Tdizzle
Valoredge is better against Kirin than Sharpshot?

Why Sharpshot? Lack of better R.ACC attachment, no Nether Blast-like WS
Yes, Chucknorris does have a BB MNK and SAM leveled XD
I thought Kirin had a Shadow Mantle effect.
I recall having pimped out Monks, a Homam/Hecatombed out Drg, and my Martial Bhuj hit for 0 several times getting TP on his grumpy ass.
With something like 550-600 Attack depending on if I caught up to the Bard when they were singing and Zerk being up, it's just damage nullification flat out time to time I've been told.
Nonetheless, interesting to see people figuring out stuff to do with Pup.
I don't trust that damn sharpshot to do anything but pump out damage in parties. I haven't decided weather or not to use my last merit in category 2 on fine tuning lvl2 or optimization lvl3. I still need to decide weather to max merit melee and magic or split between the two and fully merit ranged to 5.
The problems with sharpshot on HNM's are too numerous. It has the worst survivability of any of the frames, There is no way to boost ranged accuracy outside of scope and merits, the drum magazine does more harm than good, and he tends to stay out of range while chasing an enemy and just shoots painfully slow. It does good damage, but its not as DoT reliable as the valoredge.I'd like to just check out using it on HNM level enemies and seeing how it does compared to the valoredge, but i know for a fact its more of a pain to maneuver than valoredge.
I missed jailers today because I hung out with friends at a karaoke bar =/ (oh well i had fun, though i was planning to go pup and gather some data on jailers)
do you remember how long the fight was? i.e. how long did it take your pup to do that much dmg.
just because a thf does 0 dmg to kirin doesnt mean a pup will, because even with C skill a pup will have a higher damage weapon than probally any daggar. i estimate it would at least be sword level base damage.
Doesn't h2h skill at 300 give you the equivalent of like 52Dmg or something to that effect (with destroyers). If that's the case... Wouldn't it be lower than sword damage at C skill?
Attack is more important than DMG as far as hitting for 0 is concerned.Originally Posted by Alisha

Is this true? I did an SACA cannonball on kirin one time for 0 dmg, and I never understood why, but I guess that could explain it. Even if he turns and messes up sneak attack, it will usually do 400-600 ish damage if it doesn't miss altogether, so hitting for 0 didn't make much sense..Originally Posted by Max™
I don't believe he has a Shadow Mantle effect, just an occasional Stoneskin.
I don't think he has a Shadow Mantle effect or an occasional Stoneskin, just an occasional Invincible.
Whether or not pup can actually do something endgame it's still the worst DD in the game.
Nu-uh, WHM is.Originally Posted by Naygor
If your LS needs the best damage dealers in the game to win Kirin, you don't deserve to win anything. I rather see a LS mate have fun with Kirin than be forced into a boring ass job like BRD or RDM(in the BLM party especially) if he finds it boring.
Ok, well let's pretend we do something a bit more challenging like tiamat and we don't wanna sleep nuke it for like 2 hours. Prolly don't wanna bring all the special snowflakes there.
I think he was talking about you know, DD JOBS, since pup can't really do anything else. Funny thou that whm itself is a better melee than a puppetmaster, not talking about the puppet.Originally Posted by BRP
EDIT: Thou I wonder if a whm built to banish nuke could out-DD the puppet as well on endgame mobs, lol.
