Then I gotta go all the way back to the past to get that shit back, day-um.
I wonder if the Tu'Lia/Al'Taieu/Alzadaal of this expansion will be a futuristic city (possibly the people causing this) and the Dynamis/Limbus/Einherjar equivalent will be other time periods (Antican invasion and other battles not included in the Great War).
Also, because this is bluegartrls.com, adaman haublues are blue.
EDIT: Er, my sarcasmeter is broken today, but I meant old as in like from 2002 or something and on the POL website.

I put more thinking into what may happen and decided what jobs shouldn't be added.
1)Dancer:It really would just be play stupid... just like in FFV
2)Geomancer: Just make a better job >.>
3) Any job pertaining to having a pet like pup or drg cause we all saw where those went >.> and we don't need another job like bst
Aside from that the other jobs to not add were contemplatable depending on what SE does with them. Lets just hope shit doesn't hit the proverbial fan <.<
Dancer could be a solution to the BRD dependance in my opinion. I've always thought it was dumb at first, but then I realized if they can give song effects like Minuet, Madrigal, or March that doesn't stack with the BRD versions, it could really even things out. Give them PUP-like melee ability, their "songs" being only a bit weaker compared to BRD's, less song selection to BRD(maybe entirely melee focused), and maybe some Evasion traits or something. An early Charm song or JA that would be useful isn't so crazy either for the theme.1)Dancer:It really would just be play stupid... just like in FFV
They added Dancer last update!!! Didn't you see the dancer.enc file?!?!?![]()
Seeing all the armor and whatnot on the older versions of beastmen, anyone want to bet a stack of distilled water on whether or not it's breakable (like ToAU beastmen weapons)?
Ochus look like they'll be really cool. I'm really hoping there's a bunch of good merit camps, I'm sick of everyone wanting to do Colibri regardless of how many people are there.![]()
Or perhaps give it less melee ability and make the dances slightly stronger than BRD songs (I'd rather a new job come out stronger than an existing one, not weaker). Maybe balance by requiring the Dancer to maintain the dance (i.e. the effect happens during the prolonged "casting" time, and ends when the "casting" is over).Originally Posted by BRP
As for Dancers being dumb, just like in FFV... so were Bards. Bard has been nothing but the butt of jokes in all other FFs. FFXI is the first and only FF that Bard has ever been useful, let alone desired.
If I recall correctly, bards were only useful for:
A. That 3-little piggy fight in FFV. (I don't remember how they were useful, but I remember that Odin was better.)
B. Making fun of.
I remember BRDS being pretty strong in FFV... with Requiem doing heavy damage to undead, as well as 1 other song that pacifies the enemy from attacking, which works well against.. the GBA Omega MK IIs, among other things
When you used one, they did their job well. However, it rarely justified the loss of another fighter or mage. In FFXI, you can easily justify replacing a fighter or mage with a bard.Originally Posted by Spira
Brds melee is already better than pups, so what would be the point of that? A brd with even worse melee, and worse buffs?Originally Posted by BRP
Hmmm, maybe a B-ish weapon would be cool. It would be lame to have another Dagger(or Sword) user though.
Give them Katanas and call them Kabukis or something from the Far East.
That doesn't match the expansion though, so oh well.
Make Dancer have the exact same songs as Bard, but dances. Reduce recasts and make them more potent.
Fuck the current crop of Princesses.
If I recall, Onzozo is a RoZ zone from my limited play of the JP vesion. And in US beta you could not enter it, until they decided to release RoZ content later in the life of the beta when they added Sams, and Nin etc. When I would try to enter the cave it would say you must install the expansion and kick me out. Then the day they released the expansion, i rushed back there because i wanted to go check it out since i never got a real chance to go in there. But saw that i was way too under leveld when i attacked the gobs at the zone line lol.Originally Posted by Gwynplaine
and New jobs "should" be better if not equal to existing jobs. Theres no point in adding new jobs that are weaker then whats already there. So IMO if it cant substitute, stand in just as well, or 1up something already in the game, thus allowing for greater party config setups without sacrificing performance, then whats they point of it being there? But then again this is SE...
These two look just like Qufim to me. Especially the last one with the island in the center.

If anybody has already said this my bad. XD
Qufim never ever looked like that, I'm afraid to say.
The new weather effects looks pretty sweet. The setting seems to be more near Sandoria and La Theine. Qufim has always been covered in ice right?
